Mithril-rama closed the door softly behind her, her thoughts already in a jumble. She had been confident for Robert's sake, letting logic speak over emotions. But what now? Rilli paced into the bathroom and peered into the mirror. What if she can't find Robert when she returns? She rummaged through her belongings for a nice dress. What if he finds someone else? Nonsense. Regular clothing slid off. What if she has to stay for more than a day? Fancier dress slid on. Would there be any way to contact Robert? White sneakers were exchanged for black strapped sandals. But the last time she went seperate ways from a friend... A comb was pulled through her short straight hair. She stared, and dark eyes stared back from the glassy surface. No way, just because it happened once doesn't mean it'll happen again. Robert can take care of himself... But, can she? Rilli sat down on the covered toilet and dropped her head into her hands. Of course she can handle it, what had she done before when she was traveling alone, even without Queth by her side? Electabuzz and PallaPalla had been wonderful company, but that was before she found Robert and realized that something _had_ been missing... "Ack!" Rilli shook her head and stood up in frustration. She shouldn't be thinking such selfish thoughts at this time, she should be concerned about RK. What could have happened to actually threaten his life? And how could the Poképedia help him? She splashed some running cold water from the sink over her face and shook off the droplets. There's no use worrying now... > Robert sighs to himself as he hits the "Send" button. Glancing over her reflection in the mirror one last time, Rilli took a quick breath and opened the door. Robert nearly kneeled over from another assault on his senses for the second time that day. Rilli blinked and wondered why Robert was looking so flushed--she was simply wearing a dark green silk dress, sprinkled with small white flowers. True, the back gets a little low, but it can't be possible for him to tell from where he was standing.. right? She smiled and offered an arm to him. "Shall we?" Robert managed to gain his composure and linked his arm through Rilli's. "Of course, m'lady," he chuckled as they made their way towards the dining hall. The Pokémon Center was surprisingly unoccupied, and the couple was able to get a table next to the large windows, with a clear view of the fading sunset. They each ordered a small course, not too hungry from their late lunch. It was just as well, because the dinner was quickly devoured and forgotten. Rilli spent much of the time holding Robert's hands, and gazing alternatively out the window and at him. A few times, she looked up to say something, but thought elsewise about it. The rest of the evening was spent in much silence, both of them troubled with their own thoughts. It wasn't until Rilli has changed into her nightgown when she finally opened her mouth. "Um... Where do you think we should meet when I get back, Robert? Viridian's not a small city..." Robert sat down on the bed with a soft sigh. "Maybe... we can arrange something through e-mail?" Rilli nodded and sat down next to him, draping her arms across his shoulders. "I'll send you a letter as soon as I can, I promise." "I wish I can go with you..." Robert murmured as he traced a finger lightly down her arm. Rilli simply closed her eyes and sighed, holding him tighter. They stayed in each other's arms for the rest of the night.
