(Was: BABYCAKES) Date: Tuesday, May 11, 1999 11:18 AM Simon and Raven crept under the diglet line, hoping not to be noticed. The diglets were chattering loudly and getting restless with the commotion. Spike went to go investigate with his fellow elemental pokemon. "Slash sand?" "Diglet Dig!" "Sahndddd!" The noise of all the diglets made Simon a little nervous, their audio volume increasing steadily as their cries soon became a chant. Simon kept an eye on Spike, as he circled around the underground tunnel talking to more diglets, who also started joining the chant. "Diglet Dig, Diglet Dig!" They cried. "What the heck is going on!" Raven yelled covering his ears. "I don't know, but we're about to find out!" From across the cavern, the familiar shrill voice of Car'tos. "Simon! You're not getting away from me this time! I still want my toe back!" Simon let out a disrespectful laugh to annoy Car'tos, but Car'tos laughed back even louder. "Fwahahahahahaha!" "Diglet Dig Diglet Dig!" The ground pokemon chanted as more and more of them joined in. A bright yellow light instantly exposed one side of the cave, directly behind Simon. Raven watched as three pokemon, 2 bugs and one flareon go airborne with a trail of smoke flying out of their hides. The source of the light was directly behind, glowing a bright yellow. "Mercury!" Simon yelled, "So that's where you've been!" "Jolt Jolt!" "Car'tos! You won't get me that easily!" Simon yelled back into the middle, but Car'tos didn't hear him. "Diglet DIG Diglet DIG!" Raven and Simon watched on, as events started unfolding. Another Jessie appeared out of nowhere, standing with James and their Persian they just watched the center of the cave. Car'tos's attention was shifted up in the middle as well, as his pokemon cowered behind him. Floating above True Car'tos, was the New Car'tos obviously, the ditto. It hovered clenching it's claws, with the strength and the power greater than the horrific Car'tos himself. Car'tos didn't react, instead he fell to his knees clenching his head and arched his back......... and when the moment came, he screamed. The only sound that could be heard above the chanting Diglets was Car'tos's scream, but soon faded as the audio volume once again increased a notch. "DIGLET DIG DIGLET DIG!" The Diglets shouted over and over again. Simon couldn't take it anymore, he covered his ears in the loud stadiumesque noise. Spike finally returned, galloping to Simon's side. On his back, was the unconscious body of Car'tos's companion, but Simon didn't just want to leave her. "Good thinking Spike." Simon said, as he lifted her body off the Sandslash. "I told him to leave her!" Yelled a Wartortle, "Damn thing is too loyal to Humans." "Well, he's gonna get us out of here, and you should have a little more respect for your master!" "I'll pretend I didn't hear that." Snapped the turtle. "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Simon we got to get out of here!" Yelled Raven frantically. "DIGLET DIG DIGLET DIG DIGLET DIG!" One by one, the cavern started lighting up again. But not the yellow thunder of a Jolteon, more like the pure white light of evolution. The lights came in short spurts, coming and going but continued on for three and a half minutes. Raven didn't know which to cover his eyes or his ears, but just decided to scream. One by one, all the Diglets started to evolve. "DIGLET DIG DIGLET DIG!" "TRIO TRIO TRIO!" The last thing Simon saw was Car'tos on his knees, screaming with a silent pain, as the New Car'tos concentrated above him. The thought of the ditto changing like that unnerved Simon. He shifted the weight of the girl on his back, and thought. "Mimic, if that's you over there, get out of here as soon as you can." Spike found a soft spot in the wall, and fashioned his talons for drill work. With the power vested in him by his ground type, he drilled through the rock with amazing speed. The Wartortle jumped in the hole right after, and Simon followed with the girl on his back. Raven stayed behind, watching the dugtrio's start a group earthquake. The walls of the cave began to crumble, and the ceiling began to split apart. Jessie and James still staring at the Car'toses, and Raven staring at them. But he was looking at the Scyther, the Pinsir and the Flareon. Car'tos was still in submission of the other Car'tos, his Pokemon looking really scared still cowered behind him. Raven pulled out 3 pokeballs and through all of them at Car'tos's pokemon. They zapped inside, and stayed at Car'tos's feet. "Jolt Jolt!" Barked the Jolteon. "Coming!" Raven yelled back, and jumped in the hole followed by Mercury. Back in the dugtrio cave, the group earthquake caused massive tremors. The power was enough to dislodge all supports of the building, as it came crashing down on whoever was left. Raven didn't know if anybody had survived.....
