She opened her eyes, and pet her Vulpix on the head. "Ok, ok, im up." Standing up, Lina got dressed and walked downstairs. Her father was reading the paper and watching the news. "In other news, more and more members of the nefarious Team Rocket have been spotted in Viridian city. Many Citizens are wondering if the leader of Team Rocket is planning a new base of operations." Tenchi muttered. "Rockets. Always Rockets." Lina tapped him on the shoulder, and Tenchis mood instantly changed. "Hi honey." "Hi daddy. I just came to say goodbye. Todays the day im gonna start out on my journey." Tenchi smiled. She reminded him of his late wife and himself when they were young. He handed Lina a pokeball, and some various potions and healers. She stuffed them into her backpack, and gave Tenchi a wave. Vulpix and Sandshrew came running down the stairs, earger to go with Lina. She put Vulpix into her pokeball, and Sandshrew stood next to her. "Thanks for all the grub man. I hope your kids as good a cook as you are." Lina smirked. This would be an interesting trip, to say the least. Lina stepped outside, with Sandshrew walking beside her. Lina's first stop was Pewter city gym. She walked inside, and saw Brock on a computer. "Excuse me?" Lina said in a small voice. Brock nearly jumped out of his seat, and qucikly shut the computer. His Jenny and Joy pics site would have to wait. "I presume you want a match? Ok, then, Onix, go!" Lina looked up at the giant pokemon. Sandshrew wouldnt be able to beat that thing, but Vulpix...She sent out Vulpix, and commanded her to use ember. Being completly loyal, Vulpix complied, and burned Onix in the face. It roared and backed up, getting ready to slam into Vulpix. "Vulpix, use quick attack!" Onix dove at the small fox, but she was to quick and slammed into Onix from behind. Vulpix used a surprising amount of stength, and knocked Onix out. Brock recalled it and sent out his Vulpix. Lina recalled Vulpix and sent out Sandshrew. Brock's Vulpix used firespin, and burned Sandshrew badly. But Lina was ready, and tossed Snadshrew a burn heal. "Thanks Lina!" He sprayed it on himself, and slashed Vulpix across the face. She squealed with pain, but managed to used a fireblast before fainting. "Oh crud. That was my only burn heal. Hang in there Sandshrew, just one more pokemon to go!" "I'm trying Lina, im trying!" Brock sent out his Zubat, and it used a confuse ray to sent Sandshrew running around in circles. It then used bite, and drained away some of Sandshrews blood. Sandshrew finnaly snapped out of it and used slash, fainting the bat. Brock tossed Lina a boulderbadge. "Nice work kid." Lina then picked up Sandshrew, who was breathing hevaily, still hurt from the burns. "Did we win Lina?" "Yeah, we won.
