Erik blinked. His memory was failing him rapidly, but slowly regaining
some sense of feeling in the back of his head. His sight, too, was
becoming...un-fuzzy. The pain in the back of his head was the first to
register, however.
"Ow!" He rubbed the knot that formed, and proceeded to get up and observe
his surroundings. Metal casings, bolts, video monitors and a rather
sizeable control table filled his line of sight. This was definitely not
the Safari Zone...
No exits. The only view he could get from his location was a night sky.
The only other way open to him was down a long tunnel to a viewing room of
sorts. A kind of theater, if you will... The feeling that he was being
watched was felt, and that omnious feeling didn't go away.
The obvious question remained to Erik. "Where the Smeg am I?" He caught a
slithering motion out the corner of his eye. He ignored it and continued
to think. The last thing he remembered was going down a long dark tunnel
that appeared underneath the Safari Zone with his friends, his Pokemon
"special cases". How could he wind up in...this place?
He caught the slither again. Only this time he DID see it. "Hello?" he
asked wearily. He started backing up, and bumped into a shape. Spinning
around, he wound up face to face with the largest Ekans he had ever seen.
"AHHHHHHH!" he screamed, making as much space between himself and the Ekans
as possible.
"AHHHHHH!" echoed the snake, in word and deed.
"Ahhh!"
"Ahhh!"
"Ahh!"
"Ahh!"
"Umm." Erik stared. You are...a Pokemon?" His curiosity overwhelmed him.
"You are...Metal?"
"No, I'm Gypkans." replied the purple snake, in a gravelly tone. The metal
Ekans turned about face and went about her duties, leaving the confused
assistant Game Warden to ponder.
"Gypkans?"
"Yeah...don't mind her," came a high pitched digital voice. "She controls
the higher functions of the ship, and is usually..."
"...Ditzy?" replied the other deeper voice. Erik spun around again to see
a couple more metal Pokemon, a Psyduck and a Jigglypuff.
"You should know that, Erik, you designed us," chided the Psyduck, dubbed
'Psycrow' on it's exterior.
"Jeez, some people..." retorted the Jigglypuff, having "Jig Puff" embedded
in his side. "They pass out after a little conk to the head and then they
forget all about you."
"Jig Puff? Psycrow? It's funny, but I don't seem to remember you..."
A light started to flash, as the air started to depressurize, and the
artificial gravity started to let up. "What's...what's going on?"
The Pokebots looked at Erik and simply screamed, "MOVIE SIGN!"
After being shot through a series of numbered openings, the trio arrived at
the Theater, and Erik took his seat between Jig and Psycrow. The lights
lowered as one could hear Erik ask, "A movie?"
"Usually a bad one."
"Just make the best of it, as always..."
Erik looked up and suddenly felt hungry for a Hamdinger...
-----
In the not too distant future,
Next Saturday morning.
There was a guy named Erik,
Not too different from you or me.
He was game warden at Safari Zone,
He got lost and couldn't find his way back home,
He found some mean ole rocket types,
They conked him on the noggin and shot him into space...
The send him cheesy movies and
Old posts that they could find...la la la.
You'll have to set and watch them all,
And we'll monitor your mind...la la la.
Now keep in mind he has no way,
To make these mean things end...la la la.
Because he used those special parts,
To make his pokemon friends...
PokeBot Roll Call...
Chanbot!
Gypkans!
Jig Puff!
Psy....CROOOOOW!
If you're wondering how he sees it all,
And other fiction facts...la la la.
Just say to yourself it's just a post,
And I should really just relax!
For...
Mystery Science Pokemon 3000!
