Here goes. ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ 13 year old TRUNKS walked over to the Pokémon Research Lab. He could have gone to the Viridian Pokémon Center in his Hometown, but he didn't want any of the Pokémon they offered. Besides, he already had his eyes on a specific Pokémon anyway.... SQUIRTLE. And once he got inside the lab, he was delighted to hear that he could still get his paws on one. The sad thing to him was, however, was that nobody seemed to care about the poor lil' tiny turtle! All of the Pokémon in the lab were taken, er, all except Squirtle. Trunks was beyond offended. HOW DARE THEY!?! He thought. But he, deep down, was glad that they had overlooked it. Despite his thoughts that maybe it wasn't a good Squirtle, he had always wanted one, and this was his chance. So he took that chance. "I choose," Trunks started, grabbing the only Poké Ball left on the table, "Squirtle." Trunks happily sent out his new Pokémon. The Pokédex he received started blinking. ??NICKNAME?? ....Trunks hadn't thought about a nickname, but one did pop into his head. He punched in a few letters on the Pokédex mini-keyboard. K...A....M....E. "Kame*." Trunks repeated. He assured himself it was a great name, and headed for the exit of the Lab. ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ Not soon after, Trunks discovered that Kame had quite a character. Poor Trunks, Kame was like a Pikachu; quite hard to handle. Although Kame didn't exactly SHOCK Trunks, he found out that he wasn't going to be able to get through his journey without ever getting wet. Literally. "Come _on_ Kame. I'm not even halfway back to Viridian, and already you've soaked me completely." Trunks exclaimed. Squirtle, on the other hand, had quite a hard time holding back its giggles. "Squir....squir....tle!" And it burst out laughing, tears pouring out of its eyes. Another odd thing, Trunks noticed the pair of sunglasses that Kame wore. He started wondering where this Squirtle may have been found. His suspicions(SP?) led him to believe that Kame was brought over from around Cerulean; that's where the Squirtle Squad used to reside.... ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ *Kame is pronounced "KAH-may" for those non-DBZ addicts!! ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ So how was it for a first post? Did you enjoy it? Anybody? .... Oh well. I hope to interact with some people. Maybe somebody in Viridian Forest?
