Tenchi and Natasha picked up there pokemon, and headed outside. They hoped on the Pidgeot express, and headed to Viridian city. On the way, Natasha noticed Tenchi looked troubled. "Whats wrong? You seem depressed." Tenchi sighed. He knew this would come up eventually. "You see...Giovanni, who heads the Viridian gym, has a grudge against me. And, I'm afraid he might do anything to hurt me." Natasha nodded. She could see what he meant. She assured him that he wouldnt try anything, but Tenchi couldnt help shake the feeling that Giovanni might go for one last shot at Tenchi. Once they landed, Tenchi and Natasha headed into the gym. A guard stepped up. "Halt! you can only fight here if you have the other 7 badges. They flashed the badges, and the man let them pass. Tenchi and Natasha walked foward, and saw Giovanni sitting in a chair, stroking his Persians head. "Well well, Mr. Inverse. I see you've returned to face me again? How intesting. And whos this young girl with you?" Tenchi gritted his teeth, while Giovanni just sat there and smirked. "Oh, Mr. Inverse. I see you've injured yourself. I hope its noting...permenant." He smiled evily. "So, which one of you wants to go first?" Tenchi steped foward. I will. Giovanni stood up, and released his Ryhorn. Tenchi released Kappa. "Horn attack Ryhorn." "Kappa, dodge and use water gun!" The much quicker Golduck dodged the Ryhorns attacks, and sprayed water at it. The Ryhorn fell over, fainted. Giovanni sent out his Nidoking, and Tenchi recalled Kappa and sent out Prime. He used thunder before Giovanni could utter a word. Giovanni recalled hm and sent out Nidoqueen. "Nidoqueen, horn attack." "Prime, thunder again!" But the Nidoqueen was quicker than Tenchi thought it would be. The horn attack connected, and knocked Prime out. Tenchi sent out Moldiver. "Moldiver, use ice punch!" "Nidoqueen, seismic toss." Moldivers punch managed to connect just as Nidoqueen picked him up and tossed him across the arena. Both pokemon were out. Giovanni sent out his Rydon. "Uh oh. This thing looks like its at least level 50, maybe more." Tenchi sent out Blazer, knowing he would be weak against the ground pokemon. "Ha. Sending out a fire pokemon against a ground pokemon? What a novice mistake. Ryhorn, finish this. Use fissure attack now!" Tenchi covered his eyes, unable to watch. !0 seconds passed. Nothing happened. Natasha's pokedex spoke up. "Fissue has a 5% chance of hit." "Tenchi grinned. "Alright Blazer, use fireblast now!" The Nintails eyes glowed a deep red as it released a large stream of fire at the Ryhorn. Ryhorn went flying backwards, and Giovannis Persian yowled as its tail was singed by the hot rock. Giovanni recalled his Ryhorn and handed Tenchi an earthbadge. Natasha waited as Giovanni healed his pokemon. TBC -otaku67 Dejavu strikes when you least expect it.
