After that damned Charmander burned down the house she was in, she had no choice but to escape. But there was no doubt the boss would be mad. Oh, he would most definitely be pissed. Now all she could do is wait until Giovanni caught word of this... and hope that she could find a way out of it. Another Team Rocket member, who Kennedy knew as a friend of hers, Cody, walked into the Pokémon Center and made a beeline for her. However, his disposition wasn't as cheery as it usually was. "You realize the Boss has found out, don't you?" "I can explain! Really!" "The boss figured you'd pull that. He says he doesn't care." "What?!" "He sent me here to pass on the message that you've been demoted to Bridge duty." Kennedy stared at her friend in shock... being the main recruiter at the Nugget Bridge wasn't just the most boring position in Team Rocket, it also got you hated by almost any trainer you couldn't recruit... "Sorry Ken, but I can't help it... what the boss says goes." Kennedy sighed. Bridge duty? Oh well, she thought as she walked out of the pokécenter, might as well prepare now.. ~~~ The next day was one of the hottest in the history of Cerulean. And it was the first day on duty. And as if the day couldn't get any worse, there was a trainer coming up the bridge now. Kennedy could barely hear the conversation, but from what was able to hear, a Bulbasaur just got creamed by a Pidgeotto. A very good Pidgeotto. And she heard the first Bridge trainer fold like a card table and up and give the other one a Nugget right off... that means he could get by without fighting anyone else... it was now or never. She slowly snuck out of the shadows, pulled out one of her swords, just in case, and called out in a hushed voice "Psst! Storm, was it? I have a proposition for you... we could use a guy like you in Team Rocket... what'dya say?"
