"You look nervous," said Fox, "you want me to take that in for you?"
"I'm not sure if I should trust you with it," said Giselle.
"Hmmm..." Steve began to rationalize. "Let's see here... Fox's uncle actually
DESIGNED the system which makes PC Pokemon transfer possible. If not for his
uncle, who trusts him dearly, Pokemon PC transport would not be possible. You
are a complete stranger who hacked into his system who for all Sabrina knows is
a felon wanting to install a massive computer virus on her system. Let's think
about this... who would a person with the power to manipulate matter trust
"I gotta go with Steve here," said Gohan. "Unless, of course, you wanna be a
part of her doll house."
"Thanks," Steve replied.
"She's talked to uncle Bill before," said Fox, "she knows who I am already."
"Don't worry," said Karen, "we each have to do something. You have your
cohousing project to work on, Fox and Gohan their badge collecting, and Steve
and I... well, that's complex."
"Are you sure?" said Giselle.
"Positive," Karen replied.
"Okay, I better leave then," Giselle said as she began to walk away uneasily.
"We better leave too," said Mewtwo. "Somewhere... out there... we are needed.
Well, not needed, really, but used in a convenient plot device regardless."
He and Mew teleported away. Giselle happily began to start working on her
"Intimidating place, isn't it?" Steve observed as they stood outside. "Think
you can handle it?"
"We'll try," said Gohan.
"Psychics can be tricky opponents," Steve continued, "this could be a good
place to train. Especially since the opponents tend to be ALREADY stronger
than what you're probably used too, even discounting type."
"Are you going to try for a badge?" Fox asked.
"Me?" Steve wondered. He was, after all, the only person there with a bug
Pokemon. "Probably not. I'm not in the mood today. Karen?"
"Maybe..." she said nervously.
"That's the spirit," he smiled. "You know, I hear that there may or may not
be a Pokemon Tournament next August. I need to practice. Now, if Mewtwo was
on my side..."
"Steve?" said Karen.
"Get over it."
"Duly noted," Steve smiled. "So Fox, Gohan, you ready?"
