((OOC: Alright, this part is probably gonna be really bad, seeing as how I'm
not feeling well, and I'm just looking to get finally get this outta my way..))
Pain! It enveloped him, consumed him. He couldn't see anything, couldn't sense
anything. He couldn't think. It was blinding, a bright dazing red. But then, a
calmness. Just a small speck. Not quite sure how, he knew it was a mind, that
he somehow sensed. With some of his own memories, but different.
It rapidly grew lnearer and nearer, until a small, and utterly confused,
yelling Sandshrew popped out of nothingess and tumbled straight into the Mr.
Mime, knocking them doth into a tumble mess.
It was Sandshrew, Oz thought with relief. He wasn't quite sure how he had
gotten here, but he was. And now with Tano's pressure gone, he fell back onto
the sand and immediately passed out.
* * *
Some time later, Oz awoke and painfully sat up. He was still in the arena, but
his mind seemed to be clearing up a bit. Sandshrew and Tanos were locked in
what looked like a traditional trainer battle, although Tanos intended more for
Sandshrew than to faint. Sandshrew fought well, but he was obviously going to
loose. He was outleveled, and psychics tended to just be pains, whatever the
opposing type.
His morbid thoughts were confirmed when Tanos leapt back, and launched a
Psybeam at Sanshrew. The move hit, and Sandshrew fell. He twitched once, but
didn't get back up.
Oz saw it, but he didn't register it. His mind was murky, dense. but when the
peices did click together, he was up and over by Sandshrew's side instantly.
"Shrew...." Sandshrew moaned. Oz couldn't think of anything to say, so he just
hugged Sandshrew in a warm embrace. "It'll be all right, Sandshrew," he
uttered, "It's gonna be all right.."
#Afraid not.# Tanos snickered. Oz looked up, only to see the Mr. Mime launch a
Psybeam straight at Oz's face, point-blank range. Inches from Oz's face, it
froze in mid-air. #What?! No! No way! Not now!#
Suddenly, a small white-ish object rocketed through the glass roof. A
split-second, and it went straight through the ground too. In the critter's
wake, there was left a rip in what looked like reality. It started to spread,
slowly at first, and then faster, as it spread to the entire gym. Soon enough,
it appeared like the entire thing had cobweb tears in it.
"MEW!" The creature cried, and then everything shattered. Broken remnants of
the gym flew away, and soon disappeared. Nothing was left, except for Oz, Tanos
and the strange Mew creature. They now floated in darkness.
((OOC: at this point I would probably launch into a full description of the
Mew, except I'm not in the mood, I'm just trying to finally get Tanos out of my
way, and you *know* damn well what a Mew looks like =P))
#WHY?!# Was all Tanos bothered to roar at the defiant Mew.
#It is not your place to kill the boy, Tanos. Especially for your own selfish
reasons, and not in *our* domain.# It answered passively, it's voice seemed
almost heavenly. #We have grown tired of your ways. Our patience has worn thin.
You have done nothing but hinder. Even after you repeatedly attempted to kill
one of our kind, we managed to forgive you. but finally we have decided, we
won't let you hurt more people.#
#But he's just a boy! He's useless to anybody! He has no purpose in life!#
Mew simply shook it's head. #So far in his few years of living, he has
surpassed any good you've ever amounted too.#
#Bu-but,# Tanos stammered. He quickly thought of a different approach. #Do you
know who this boy is?!#
#Yes, we do. But you know that he is entirely not responsible for his father's
actions.#
Up until know, Oz had remained in befuddled silence, but now they were talking
about his father. "My father? What did he do?" He queried curiously.
Mew looked to Oz. It blinked once, and then turned it's head back towards the
Mr. Mime. #No more, Tanos.# Then, there was a flash of light, and Oz curiously
found himself several stories above the familiar ground of Celadon.
