"It's a long story." (Switch- "MEEH CAHEEH!!!!!") The thunder broke, a dark Winter settling in over the land. Koga, then a teenager, was checking over his gym, making sure that all the windows were closed and everything secured. His father was asleep, the old man having a long day with all the new trainers recieving the licences. "PIKAAAAAAA!!!!!" A wail came from outside. Quickly vaulting out the window, Koga searched for the source fo the noise. Winds would have swept a normal man off his feet, but Koga was able to stand his ground. It was a Pikachu, hanging onto a tree branch for dear life. Breaking into a run, Koga quickly snatched up the Pikachu and vaulted back intside the relative safety of the gym. "Pi, pikachu?" "You'll be fine." The young Pikachu grew fast. He became one of Koga's favourite Pokemon, along with his own Koffing, Horsea, Grimer and Venonat. Rather than fight with the traditional methods of his species, the then-Pikachu schooled himself in the use of naginata. Pokemon League rules made space for Cubone and Marowak, and added to his position among the Gym Leaders, Koga was able to impart to Pikachu some of his knowledge of martial arts. Three years later, Koga's father passed away. The martial arts can only lengthen one's lifespan for so long, and finally, the years got the better of Koga Senior. Koga, being the oldest of his children, inherited the gym, while Iya recieved the late master's three Venonat. The Pokemon League officialls arrived the next day. The Fuschia Gym was to carry a "Poison/Sleep" theme, thus making Horsea and Pikachu illegal for a Gym Leader to hold. Not wanting to trade them to anyone else, Koga reluctantly released Pikachu and Horsea into the wild, but not without a parting gift. A titanium halberd and Thunderstone for Samuraichu, and silver barding for Horsea. (Switch- "MEEH CAHEEH!!!!!") White Blade was listening intently. "What happened to Horsea?" From a seemingly ornamental pond at the side of the arena's gardens, a mighty Seadra leapt into the air. It wore ornate battle armour, shielding the "wings", head and chest. "Raichu!" "She came back a week before you arrived." Koga threw the Seadra a can of Clefairy Cola. A sweep of its armoured fins sliced the can in half, its contents pouring into the Seadra's funnel-like mouth. "Tsunami, you remember Pikachu, right?" "Sea!" "I gave him a Thunderstone, to use when he needed. What do you think?" "Draaa, seadra!" giggled the majestic sea-dragon. "Rai....." Bolts of lightning laced across Seadra's frame. (Switch- "MEEH CAHEEH!!!!!") "Chu, raichu chu?" "Seadra dra!" Koga offered Samuraichu a Pokeball. Seadra vanished with a breif flicker. "Are you headed for the Safari Zone?" "I suppose so. Take care," said White Blade. Your turn..... Cat-Gonk. ---------------------------- Do you believe in Goddish? Azure Heights Pokemon Staff.
