From: ShadowSchitz <ShadowSchitz@hotmail.com> Subject: [PW!] Just Killing Time Date: Thursday, June 17, 1999 5:58 PM Last time, Tomo had stolen an Abra from Sabrina and Teleported to a random Pokecenter. He's currently standing around, looking kind of dumb. ------------------ Tomo dropped his Drowzee, letting it walk beside him and walked to the Pokecenter's counter, trying not to look lost. The people standing around in the Center still watched him curiously. He handed his new Abra and the Pokeball with his Starmie to a nurse. "Excuse me, could you give these Pokemon a checkup?" The nurse smiled brightly. "Of course." "And um, can you tell me what city I'm in?" "Why, Celedon City of course." "Thanks, I'll be back soon." Tomo smiled brightly at the nurse as she gave him an odd look and quickly left the Pokecenter. "How embarrassing," he thought to himself, "I didn't expect to end up here. Now what?" Celedon City, the shopping mall of Pokemon Island. Tomo had not visited this city since he was rather young. He remembered shopping in the big department store when it had just opened, and begging his parents for TMs and Carbos to make his first Pokemon, a little Sandshrew, a better fighter. They got them for him, of course. They always got everything for him. Now, Tomo simply got everything he wanted for himself. Everything. Like that Abra. He had been envious of all of Sabrina's powerful Pokemon. Now he had proven to himself that he could beat that miserable gym leader in his own way. He felt he could do anything he wanted, get anything he wanted, from now on. Tomo wandered the streets of Celedon, basking in the electronic glow from the brightly decorated store fronts. Glass and gray stone buildings rose above him, blocking out the sky, in a way that comforted the city-born young man. He slipped through the crowds of shoppers and savored the evening air. Tomo paused to gaze curiously at one building from which noisy music blared. It was the slots. He snorted in derision at the building and continued on. He hated games of chance. He did not believe in participating in anything unless he knew he could win. And you could not cheat at the slots. "I am officially a member of Team Rocket now," Tomo thought to himself, thinking about how he enrolled in the group a couple days ago. He refused to wear the uniform, it simply did not suit his style. "I wonder if I shouldn't get some sort of assignment." The only problem with that was that Tomo had no idea how to contact Team Rocket in Celadon. He had not expected to leave Saffron so suddenly. One did not go about asking for directions to Rocket headquarters, he knew. Perhaps, if he kept an eye out for someone wearing the red 'R' symbol. Or he could himself. He needed something subtle. He clapped his hands excitedly and exclaimed aloud, "Time for a new outfit! Come on Suriipu!" Tomo's Drowzee followed his master into a department store with what might have been a sigh. A couple of hours later, Tomo and Suriipu strolled out of the store, with the human looking very pleased with himself. He wore a black slacks and a black jacket over a blood red dress shirt. In his jacket pocket was a black handkerchief with a small red 'R' embroidered on it. Tomo adjusted it, hoping it was not too subtle. He took a simple black hair clip from his pocket and pulled his hair back from his face. A few strands escaped, falling in front of his dark eyes. He smiled down at his Drowzee. "Let's go get Sutaamii and ah...Keeshii, that will be the Abra's name. Then, we'll have to find a place to mingle and hopefully get noticed." TBC I couldn't think of anything else to do ^^;; ------ ShadowSchitz -- "Never give anyone the power to take away your freedom" Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Share what you know.
