Marvin raises his remote control and presses the power button, turning
off the television inside his caravan, "Now that show was just
distasteful..." He stares at the blank screen in complete silence.
Curious, he looks around his caravan, wondering what his Pokemon are
doing. Xerox is off in the corner, reading the Cerulean Times, and
Famifax is no where to be seen. Ever since yesterday, there hasn't been
much action going on, "Xerox, why's everything so glum in here?"
Xerox looks up from her newspaper and turns around to face Marvin, "I
always prefer silence, so I don't speak unless I'm spoken to or have
something to say. My guess on the silence is that Famifax isn't happy
for some reason."
Marvin pauses to think about where Famifax could be hiding, and stands
up. He changed out of his tuxedo the night before to go to bed, and now
all he's wearing is blue pants and a white shirt. The magician steps
through the clothing racks inside of his caravan, and when he reaches
the other side of the clothes, he's wearing a purple visor and a red
boa.
Famifax is sitting there, amongst the fashion statements. A sad, pink
Ditto, crying her little eyes out.
"What's wrong?" Marvin asks, wondering why his usually chipper Pokemon
is so depressed.
Famifax doesn't move as she replies, "Sisis sad! Thas make me sad too!"
"Oh, you're sister isn't sad..." Marvin tries to comfort her, crouching
down in front of his Pokemon, "C'mon, don't worry about her... She's
just having issues about her past that even I can't understand. I'm sure
she'll get over it. Besides, this caravan isn't about tragedy and
science. It's about comedy and magic, the least scientific thing there
is!" He notices that his little pep talk doesn't help much, so he pulls
out a long blue magic wand, "So let's do some magic, Famifax!"
"I too sad to do magic! No magic! Noway!" Famifax closes her tiny
dots-for-eyes and stiffens up.
Marvin swings the magic wand into the clothing racks, and pulls out a
sock puppet. The puppet is just a green sock with buttons and thread
added on so that it looks like a dragon. He puts it on his hand and
makes it speak to Famifax, the magician's lips apparently not moving at
all, "Not even for your friend, Mister Dragon?"
"Mmm?" Famifax gradually turns her attention to the puppet on Marvin's
hand, "Wha... wha magic you wants me to do?"
"Maybe big fire breathing magic like this?" The puppet replies, looks
up, and somehow breathes out a small flame without setting himself on
fire, "Or smaller magic? Like cards?" The dragon spits 52 tiny cards
onto Famifax's face, and the little Ditto giggles. The puppet looks at
Marvin, "Maybe even make this big dummy disappear!"
Famifax growls and transforms into a 10 year old blonde girl in a white
dress. She bops the puppet on the head, "Marvy not big dummy! He weally
smart! Fersure!"
The sock dragon lowers the thread for eyebrows he has, "Grrrr! Now that
you hit me, I'll have my revenge! First off, I don't need this stupid
magician to have his hand up my butt!" That said, the sock floats up off
of Marvin's hand and starts to orbit Famifax's head. The flying sock
continues, "I'll burn all your hair off! That'll show you!"
Marvin shakes his hands, finally speaking up, "I wouldn't do that if I
were you, Mister Dragon!"
"Oh, you just watch me!" The sock dragon replies, spitting flame towards
Famifax! It doesn't make contact.
The 10 year old girl that Famifax is pretending to be grabs the dragon
by the mouth and throws him into the clothing racks from where he was
pulled out of, "HAHA! Mista Dragons can't hurt you or me! Noway! I
protect us!"
"You sure did!" Marvin claps his hands, "You deserve a reward!" He grabs
a bottle of clay from the floor, and starts to mold it into a bowl. He
then grabs his blue magic wand and taps the bowl, and a banana split
sundae appears inside of it! "You just love this ice cream, don't you?"
"Oooooh yeah!" Famifax reaches down with her human hand and pulls the
ice cream into her mouth, making a horrible mess, "Mmmm! Thisis delish,
I juss loves it! Thanks, Marvy!"
Marvin smiles and rubs his hand on Famifax's mess of blonde hair,
"Anything for my little princess! I'm going to go get Xerox to move the
caravan. We're going to Saffron City, now."
"Mmmkay..." Famifax answers, her mouth still full of the ice cream that
Marvin "magically" conjured up for her.
Marvin stands up and walks back through the clothing racks. In addition
to his purple visor and red boa, he is now wearing a grass skirt and a
football player's shoulder pads, "Okay, Xerox, let's pull the caravan
southward... Towards Saffron City!"
Xerox the purple Ditto tosses her newspaper aside, "Let *us* pull the
caravan? Don't you mean that you order me to go outside, stunt my
education, become a Rapidash, and work without any compensation?"
"Gee..." Marvin scratches his head, knocking the purple visor off its
resting place, "When you put it like that, it sounds like a really bad
chore. Would you rather I get Famifax to do it?"
"No, let her recover from whatever petty loss she's trying to recover
from." Xerox mumbles, already walking towards the caravan's doors,
"Perhaps next time we visit Cinnabar Island, you could catch a real
Ponyta? Until then, I shall follow your commands, since I am the
responsible Pokemon that I am." She shuts the doors behind her as she
leaves.
"That's a good idea... a real Ponyta..." Marvin comments, as he pulls
off the grass skirt and other accessories that attached to him on his
trips through the clothing racks, "I wonder if Famifax is feeling
better..."
An 18 year old young woman with brown hair and blue eyes leaps out of
the clothing racks, wearing a green shirt and blue jeans. She wraps
herself around Marvin and hugs him intensely, "I love you, Marvy! You
totally tha best! Fersure!"
"Oh yeah... She's feeling better..." Marvin laughs as he tries to pry
the 'young woman' off of him. He feels the sensation as the caravan
starts to move southward, towards Saffron City.
