Although, You aren't an ordinary electric pokemon... But, I think I can help you." "Thankss," Scy said to Shock. They left the Pokemon center together and started heading towards the pokemon department store. "Did you get the rainbow badge yet?" Shock asked Scy as they turned a corner, "I didn't." "Yess," Scy told him, "I did get a rainbow badge, but I wouldn't mind if you went to get one." "Fine, let's go!" Shock exclaimed, and started running. Then he stopped. "What'ss wrong?" Scy asked Shock, wondering what could possibly be the matter. "Uh, could you show me the way to the gym?" Shock asked sheepisly. ---------------------------- They reached the doors of the gym about 15 minutes later. Shock was very excited abut getting a rainbow badge, and ran through the doors the second they came into view. Scy lagged along further behind him. "Wait up!" Scy called to Shock, but Shock couldn't hear him. He had already gone inside the gym. "Where is Erika?" Shock demanded to the Jr. Trainer behind the desk, "I want to battle her!" He started heading down a hallway as Scy entered the gym. "What'ss the russh?" He asked Shock. "Sorry Shock said, "I'm very excited." "Well, you'll have to wait," the Jr. Trainer said, "Erika is battleing someone at the moment. Wait right over there." She pointed to two benches in the left hand corner of the room. "I'll tell you when Erika is ready to see you." She went through some double doors and disapeared. "Well, I guess we'll have to wait a few more minutes," Shock said to Scy. "Go, Magnemite!" Magnemite flew out of his pokeball. The ball bounced back into Shock's arms. "Why did you let Magnemite go?" Scy asked him, "You're not battleing anyone yet." "I know," Shock said, "but i'm bored. I usually can't sit still for very long." Magnemite floated closer to Shock, and settled down on his head. That seemed funny to Scy, who started laughing. "What's so funny?" Asked Shock, getting defensive, "How about a pokemon battle?" "Fine," Scy said, "But later. We can not battle jusst anyplace in a gym." Shock knew this was true and settled down. Just then, the Jr. Trainer came into the room through the doors and told Shock that Erika was ready to battle him. "Let's go Magnemite!" Shock cried, "Let's get this show on the road!" "Good luck Ssshock," Scy said to him, "I will wait here for you." The Jr. Trainer led Shock down another hall and through some twists and through a large door, into a courtyard. "What's this?" Shock demanded, "I want to battle Erika, not admire the flowers!" "And battle me you shall," said a voice that seemed to be coming from a tree. Then Erika stepped out from behind it, holding a watering can. "It's such a nice day out, I decided to have all my battles outside today. We will use two pokemon each. I choose you, Gloom!" "Uh, I only have one pokemon, Erika," Shock informed her. "Okay, then we will use only one pokemon. I choose Gloom. Who will you choose?" "Go, Magnemite!" Shock cried, as Magnemite surfaced from the top of Shock's head and got into battle position. "As you probably know, Shock, Grass pokemon are strong against electric pokemon. I shall not lose this battle. Gloom, Petal Dance, Now!" Gloom started shaking its petals around. The petals grew larger and larger, and sharper and sharper until they slammed into Magnemite. "Magnemite!" Shock cried. He reached into his backpack and pulled out a potion. Then he sprayed it on Magnemite. Magnemite was as good as new. "Magnemite, tackle it, now!" Shock cried. Magnemite floated closer to Gloom and Slammed into it as hard as it could. Gloom continued to use petal dance. After a while, The petals grew to large and started to fold under the weight. The sharp petals then started to cut into gloom. "Gloom, Sleep powder, Now!" Erika cried. A dark cloud sprayed out of the petals on Gloom's head. Magnemite struggled to stay awake. "Come on, Magnemite!" Shock cried, "Don't give in. I'm counting on you!" Armed with a new set of determination, Magnemite shook the last of the Sleep power off of itself. "Great job Magnemite!" Shock cried happily, "Sonic boom, Now" Erika watched in horror as the large petals on Gloom's head continued to cut itself. Plus the growing danger of Magnemite's sonic boom attack seemed to get the better of her. "Gloom, Return!" Erika cried, "You have won. You are truly a good trainer. My Gloom just learned this new move, Petal Dance, so I decided to try it out. Take this rainbow badge as proof of your victory. Good luck on your journey." "Thanks Erika," Shock said, "Magnemite, Return!" Shock then headed out of the gym, where he met up with Scy again. "Did you win?" Scy asked him. "Yeah, Gloom used petal dance and started to hurt itself, so she called it back!" Shock said, proud of his victory. "When should we go now?" "We can head over to Rocket Game corner," Scy said, "They have many games of chance there." "Agreed," Shock said. Shock and Scy headed towards the Game Corner. After about 5 minutes, they reached the Rocket Game Corner. Scy led Shock to the counter, Where they bought 50 coins each. "Thankss," Scy said to the man behind the counter. "Your wel-Huh?" The man said. Scy had turned to pure electricity. "Helllllp meeeeee! Ssyytthheerr!" "Go, Magnemite!" Shock cried. "Magnemite, thundershock now!" Magnemite shot all the electricity it had gathered from the surrounding area at Scy. Soon, Scy returned to normal. "Thankss," Scy said to Magnemite and Shock. "Your welcome," said Shock.
