From: Saxarooj <saxarooj@aol.com> Subject: [PW!] Team Rocket & Mew II Date: Sunday, June 06, 1999 12:40 PM Gazing through the open sunroof, Tomman devised a plan. He saw half a dozen Rocket members, but there were probably several more. He couldn't see what they were doing or any signs of a Mew, but he was determined to save that Pokémon. He saw Diglett poke his head through the floor below. Tomman smiled and gave him a salute. "DIGGLEEETTT!!" he screamed at the top of its little lungs, causing all the Team Rocket gang to turn around. "Look!" one yelled. "Get him!!" hollered another. So they all gave chase to Tomman's Diglett, who was already far ahead. "Alright Diglett!" Tomman whispered, and carefully jumped down the sunroof, followed by Tang and Voltorb. He looked to his left and gasped. Inside a huge chamber was the Pokémon Tang had seen: Mew. The machine she was trapped in was connected to many similar small chambers. "Looks like... some type of cloning device!! They're going to clone this Mew!" Tomman looked at the helpless creature harnessed in the chamber. "OK, guys I got a plan. Voltorb, you get inside that machine; try to locate the main power source. When you're ready, let me know." Voltorb was already on his way inside the device. "VOLTOORB." Tomman turned to his Farfetch'd. "Tang, you and I are going to get that Mew loose, OK?" "Farfetch'd. Far Far," she replied. "Good," he said sighing. "Well let's get at it!!" Tomman took a couple steps back and charged at the glass surrounding Mew. He bounced right off, and got a very large bruise in the process. Tang charged hitting the glass with her beak. "That's it, Tang! Keep at it!" Tang kept banging away at the glass until she was exhausted. "Farrfetchh'd." it groaned. "That's OK, Tang, you did your best," Tomman tried to encourage the Pokémon. Then he noticed a big red button by the chamber. Without hesitation, he pushed it. The machine started going crazy. Lights flashing, gears clicking, wires buzzing. And before he knew it, Tomman had filled all the empty chambers with brand new Mew. "Great," moaned Tomman. "Farfetch'dd," Tang moaned. While examinating the situation, Tomman heard a shout behind him. "Hey you! Kid!!" Taking a deep breath, Tomman turned around to see a Rocket on the opposite side of the room. "This is a top secret Team Rocket organization!!" "W-we can't just let you experiment on this innocent Pokémon like this," Tomman studdered, gathering all his courage. "Ah, but we're not the first to perform tests on this Mew," smirked the Rocket. "Not the first?" Tomman asked sharply. "What do you mean?" The Rocket laughed. "Over a decade ago, a group of scientists found a rare Pokémon known as Mew deep in the jungle. In their lab at Cinnabar Island, they worked on creating a clone of Mew, the most powerful Pokémon in the world. They succeeded, but the clone, known as Mewtwo, destroyed the lab and escaped into the wild, never heard from again. Then we got a hold of the elusive Mew and have been trying to create a perfect clone of her.. which you have completed for us. Thank you, by the way. Now that our army of Mew is complete, we can carry out our plan of world conquest." Tomman sneered. "You'll never get away with this!!" he yelled. "Do I have to say it? We already have! All we have to do is get rid rid of you brat, and we've got it made." He paused. "So do you surrender? Or are you prepared to fight??" Tomman knew if he gave up Team Rocket might succeed in their plan, and he was the world's hope. But he only had one Pokémon, a Farfetch'd, and it wasn't too strong. There was no way it could take on a whole army of Mew, plus this Rocket's Pokémon. He could them off as long as he could. Really the hope of the world rested on his Voltorb carrying out his plan. "Let's do it," he said calmly. The Rocket snickered. "Okay, whatever. Geodude, GO!!" The Rocket reached to his belt and threw out a Pokéball. "GEOdude," hummed the rock Pokémon that emerged. "Tang!! Do it!" "FarFETCH'd!" The two Pokémon flew around each other a couple times. "Tang! Wing attack!" "Geodude! Defense Curl!" As Geodude curled into a ball, Tang flew up and attacked with her wings violently. The Geodude spun back uncurled, and awaited his trainer's commands. "Geodude! Rock Throw!" Suddenly dozens of rocks were thrown at Tang by Geodude. "Tang! Dodge 'em!" The Farfetch'd gracefully flew in between the rocks, weaving in and out. Just when she thought the attack was done, a stray rock fell and hit Tang. "Aa!! Tang are you OK?" Tang lay still on the ground. The Rocket smiled. Then Tang got up, dusted herself off, and continued in battle. "Farfetch'd!!" she called. Tomman cheered. "Yay! All right, Tang, Swords Dance!" Tang spun in circles while images of swords danced around him. "Geodude! Harden!" answered the Rocket. "GEO... duudee..." Harden didn't work. "NOOO!!" shouted the Rocket. "Yea Tang! Finish him off. Mega Peck!!" Tang backed up and flew toward Geodude. "NO! Geodude.." Tang thrust her beak into Geodude, causing him to faint. "Yay Tang! You did it!" cheered Tomman. "It's not over yet, kid," sneered the Rocket. Go! Raticate!!" The rodent flew out of the Pokéball. "RATiCATE!!" Tomman gulped. "OK, Tang, show him a Wing Attack!" Tang began her descent. "Raticate! Counter attack; Hyper Fang!" Raticate lept into the air and before Tang had a chance to react, he bit her on the neck. Tang fell to the ground, twitching. "T-tang?" asked Tomman, "Are you?..." Tang fainted. "Tang return," Tomman said sadly, returning Tang to her Pokéball. "Hah! You've no more Pokémon to fight with," laughed the Rocket. "You've got no choice but to surrender!" Suddenly the ground shook violently. Raticate fell to the floor, injured. "What the blazes?!" screamed the Rocket. "What is that?" Tomman smiled. "That," he paused. "..Is late. Diglett! DIG ATTACK!!" Tomman's Diglett poked his head out of the ground and knocked into Raticate, scratching and biting. "Diglettt!" he screamed. The force threw Raticate into the air and back down, unconscious. "Whoa Diglett good job!! You came back just the right time buddy." "Diglett Digdig." The Rocket sneered. "You still haven't won. I still have the army of Mew on my side," he said opening the chamber doors with a remote control. But as soon as they were released, the Mew started pouncing on the Rocket. "Hey! OW! Get off! Whose side are you on?! Ouch!" Tomman and Diglett started laughing. "Voltoorbb" came the low voice calling. "What? A Voltorb?! Just how many 'hidden' Pokémon do you have anyway kid?" asked the Rocket. "This is the last one I promise," Tomman replied laughing. "OK Voltorb! Explosion then return to you Pokéball!" They heard a humming noise as the cloning machine began to glow. "No...." whimpered the Rocket, "not the.." but it was to late. "VolTORB!" The machine blew up in a firey red cloud, sending the Team Rocket member flying. Tomman landed in a nearby meadow. The Mew crouded around him. "On behalf of myself and the other Mew," one said, "we would like to thank you for saving us. We would like you to accept this gift." He handed over a special Pokéball to Tomman. "This is a Master Ball," she continued. "Wow, I've heard of these," said Tomman still astonished the Pokémon were talking to him. "This can capture any Pokémon 100% of the time. I'll be sure to hold onto it for a special Pokémon." Tomman tucked in his pouch. "Seeing as we do not want you to be kicked out of the PokéWars, and because we like things better in the wild, we can not go with you. But look for us from time to time, hear?" Tomman shifted position. "Sure.. OK. B-bye then." Suddenly he found himself in Chakipp's Pokémon Center, obviously teleported by the Mew. He glanced through the window and saw the mew flying over the horizon. "Bye then."
