From: Goola the Hutt <goola2u@aol.compostheap> Subject: [PW!] You Take the High Road and I'll Take the Low Road Date: Friday, June 11, 1999 8:06 AM Sneakers crept across the city rooftops. This heist would require feline stealth and agility, and... "MEEEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOWWWWWWTTTTTTHHHHHH! What Slowbro put that wall there!?!?!?" he caterwauled, rubbing his face in pain. Sneaker slid to the edge to the roof, and lept acoss a series of hoering platforms to the next. On it waited his target: A Pikachu made up of polygons. "A prototype Smashborg," smiled Sneakers. "That is correct, and I am programmed to take on all opponents," said the robo-mouse. "That's nice," said Sneakers, "Hold still so I can ..." "Prepare for defeat," droned the polygonal pokemon simulacrum. "Is that a threat, bolt brain?" scowled Sneakers. "I am not programmed to threaten idly," said the cluster of polygons, launching itself at Sneakers. Dang, that Saffroniam Alloy Tail of his was WICKED. --- Shard turned on the TV. "Pokémon Wars Tranformers" was on. Shard watched intently. Season 2 Intro. That meant it wasn't "Lower Road." He continued to watch. Oh, Goddish, not "Way of Hero." Shard couldn't cry, not now... he watched. Watched as Kabutobot exchanged bitter words with Rattatrap. Watched him marching of to battle in Kabutops mode. Watched him defy Optimus Primeape and take on the Pokécons. Shard was on the edge, as always, when a very beat-up Kabutobot was taking on Magmatron. The Maximon had to show up now, didn't they? Of course they did, it was a rerun... but they were too late. "The rest... is silence." Shard wept. He always wept at this part. Oops... Shard was so intent on watching that he hadn't noticed the lunch he'd let go of. It had fallen, spilling fries all over the place, which were promptly squished by those who were moving about. What? How'd Rattatas get in here? "G'wan, scoot!" Shard shooed the rodent pokmon away, but, thankfully, they'd finished cleaning up. --- Sneakers dodged yet another attack. Dang, this thing was persistent... TBC! Shard Fields, who will continue this a bit later. And yes, I did change the BW refs a bit to try and squeeze them into the PW! world.
