Spectre Hikage walked slowly. He reached behind his head and pulled his
hair back into it's ponytail. Stupid blast had knocked the icy clip from
it's place. He passed through Fuschia quickly. If luck was with him, he
wouldn't ever have to set foot in this city ever again. There were only
two things on his mind at this point. One was finding Kat's killer, and
kill him or her. Two, was his future. It all seemed so utterly pointless
now.Ambulance sirens screeched as the vehicles sped by him towards the
shore.
Hmph. Pointless job that was.
There wasn't anyone alive there anymore.

Any Other Way, Part 1: Goodbye
---
Sometime in the night, he was in Celadon.
He quickly ducked into an alley to avoid Jenny on her rounds.
Heh...this seemed familiar. Very familiar.
After her bike had past, he took off running, uplling a phone from his
trenchcoat and dialing a number.
....Ring......
......Ring.......
.......Ring......
Groan. It had better be later than it felt.
"What?"
" - Sir... -"
Well then....this certainly was unexpected. "What is it?"
" - I quit. - "
The last was unexpected. This, however, was funny. "You can't quit."
" - Watch me, old man. *click* - "
"Spectre...? SPECTRE?!"
Giovanni growled and slammed the reciever down. "You don't leave Team
Rocket."
He flung the covers off the bed and got up, throwing back curtains on
his windows.
Looking outside at the city streets around him, his hands balled up into
fists. His Persian sensed something wrong, and let himself out.
"We WILL get you back, young man. And you won't be happy. Do you hear
me? You will dearly for trying to escape." He snarled.
"YOU'LL PAY!!!"
Spectre blinked and looked around.
That was odd. Thought he heard someone yell.
She shrugged it off to a creature of the night, and left Celadon.
<"I mustn't run away, I mustn't run away, I mustn't run away!">
He sat perched on a rooftop in Cerulean city. The sun was rising in the
distance. Behind him, Scyther paced slowly, occasionally glancing at his
friend.
"Scy."
"Hm?"
"Scy. Scyther scy."
Spec pulled out his dictionary and flipped through a few pages.
"Oh. Look, if you don't want to hang around, I'll understand. I don't
want to endanger you too."
Scyther tilted his head and let out a hmph.
"And I'm NOT being overly dramatic, thank you very much. But Giovanni's
bound to send some goons after me. I dunno when, and I dunno how. So if
you wanna jet, do it now."
....
"Dammit, LEAVE!" Spec sprung to his feet. "I don't want you around! Get
out of here!"
....
"GO!!"
....
Spec narrowed his eyes. "You....are the most stubborn...." He sighed and
sat back down.
Scyther smirked slightly and pointed towards the Unknown Dungeon.
Spec turned his head and looked. Same armored Nidokings that were there
months before.
"Damn. Don't they ever leave?"
"Scyyyy..." The bladed pokemon sat beside Spec.
"Scyther....we're going home."
"Scyth?"
"Yeah. Or...you're going home. For now, anyway."
"Scy??"
"I've got an idea, but it requires me to make some changes. Besides....I
want you to protect dad."
Scyther tilted his head. "Scy?"
"Yeah...I'll be fine. Just take care of him, and everyone else, okay?"
Scyther nodded.
Spec took off his trenchcoat and gave it to Scyther. "Here. If you can,
find a way back through Mt Moon. I'll be home in a month if everything
goes right, okay?"
Scyther nodded and carefully draped his friend's trenchcoat over his
shoulder. "Scyther!"
It lept off the building and vanished. Spec could barely make out a few
traces of him as he made long strides towards the mountain trail.
"Good luck."
Spec chuckled, and lept to the ground.
After awhile of searching, and making sure Jenny was on the other side
of town, he broke into a clothing store and quickly took some items.
He escaped and bounded to the rooftops and across town quickly. The
sirens were already getting close.
Time to disappear.
