An earthquake! One of Storm's Poke Balls started to fall into a crevice! Storm awoke with a start, and saw the crevices surrounding Rose and him. Then he spotted the Poke Ball falling. "Ah!" yelled Storm. "Go Pidgeotto!" Then he noticed. Pidgeotto's ball was the one falling. He immediatly turned to Rose. "WAKE UP!" he yelled at the top of his lungs. Rose's Poke Balls began to shake, too, and one containg her Weepinbell began to fall. "Huh....uh....AH! Diglett! Dig down there and retrieve the Poke Balls!" said Rose. The balls were returned to their owner, and then Diglett started to slip as the crevice was beginning to close! "Go Pidgeotto! Save Diglett!" yelled Storm. Storm's Pidgeotto barely escaped; it lost a couple of tail feathers. As they walked out of the Vermilion Pokemon Center, they were once again amassed by the media. Through the large crouds, Storm spotted a sign that read: "SALE on all HMs at the Vermilion Pokemart! Only $5000!" Storm and Rose both looked at their wallets. "I have $2000 and this stupid Nugget." said Storm. "And I only have $1000." said Rose. They walked into he Pokemart anyways, they needed to stock up on potions. "Welcome!" said the storekeeper. "Are you here to buy a HM?" "No, we don't have enough money. I only have $2000 and she has $1000." stated Storm. The shopkeeper then noticed the nugget on Storm's belt. "You do have enough money." said the storekeeper. "That Nugget is worth about........$5000!" "Wow! And I thought it was worthless!" said Storm, as he handed the Nugget to the shopkeeper. "Now, which HM would you like?" said the storekeeper, eyeing his new nugget. "We have ones for Cut, Fly, Surf, Strength, and Flash." "I'll take......Fly." said Storm. He then immediatly called on Pidgeotto, and taught the move to him. "This will help us get to Celadon faster!" said Storm. Storm walked out of the Poke mart with Rose, still amassed by the crowds. He was able to find a clear spot to call on Pidgeotto. Storm and Rose hopped on Pidgeotto as the media quickly flashed pictures of Storm and Rose flying away on Pidgeotto. Rose then pulled out her portable TV and turned it to the news. "Now for the weather." the reporter said. "A rainstorm is passing over the Cinnabar front right now, should be in Pallet by tomorrow. Also, heavy winds have gathered over Celadon and the surrounding area. Traveling through there is highly dangerous." Storm and Rose began to worry. But, they flew on. About 20 minutes later, Rose turned on her TV. "Now it seems we have found the cause of the high winds around Celadon. An Articuno has been spotted by expert bird watchers, and will continue on through Celadon, bringing the winds to Cerulean eventually." said the reporter. "An Articuno!" said Storm. Rose pulled out her pokedex. "Articuno. A legendary pokemon. Is said to rescue people lost in mountains. Is extremely rare and hard to catch. articuno is a Ice/Flying pokemon." "Ice/Flying! I got to catch one!" said Storm eagerly. "I wouldn't risk it." Rose said. "Articuno is very powerful. Plus, we only have regular Poke Balls!" But Storm didn't listen. He began to search the area for Articuno. After 15 hours of searching through heavy winds, through the mist, Sotrm finally saw it. "CUNOOOO!" it screeched. Pidgeotto lowered the two to the ground in a area between Celadon and Saffron. "Vaporeon go!" said Storm. "Diglett, go!" said Rose. "Vaporeon! Bubblebeam!" Articuno was trapped in a bubble. It didn't have time to react to it. Articuno was lowered to the ground by a quick pounce by Vaporeon. "Diglett! Dig underground!" shouted Rose. Articuno finally arose., bot not in time to be uprooted by Diglett. Articuno was then furious. It let loose a blizzard, knocking Vaporeon bnack a couple of feet and freezing Diglett. "Return!" they both shouted at the same time. "Psyduck, go!" yelled Storm. "Weepinbell, go!" yelled Rose. Articuno was quick on the draw. It quickly pecked the two into unconsiousness. "Uh......run!" yelled Storm. The two quickly returned their pokemon and hopped on Pidgeotto. It was now a race to get to Celadon. Articuno was hot on their tail, while Pidgeotto was flying a sfast as it could. A heavy thunderclap shook the surrounding area. Pidgeotto was going down hard. It crash landed just a half a mile out of Celadon. It was now a race. With no pokemon, Storm and Rose had nothing. It was almost hopeless. TBC!
