Moon (pt. 1) Date: Friday, July 02, 1999 5:12 PM When we last saw Adrianna and Jigglypuff, they had won the Boulder Badge through the "Curly, Larry, and Moe" routine- eye poke! Elated at the last victory, they started out for Mt. Moon, Cerulean City, and... trouble. "At last, the entrance to Mt. Moon!" said Adrianna, looking up at Mt. Moon's grayish surface. (I love to use the word grayish, don't I?) "Jigglypuff," mumbled Jigglypuff. "It's okay," said Adrianna. "Jiggy," said Jigglypuff. "Let's goooooo!" shouted Adrianna, running into the cavernous maw of Mt. Moon. A few minutes later, Adrianna looked around the dark caves. Jigglypuff had stopped dead in its tracks. "What's up, Jigglypuff?" Jigglypuff pointed at the wall and squeaked out a little "Puff." The camoflauged Geodude revealed itself, careening towards Jigglypuff. "GEOOOOOOO!" "Watch out, Jigglypuff!" shouted Adrianna. Jigglypuff, hardened from its fight with Brock, dodged to one side and looked the rocky Pokemon in the eye. "Jigggyyyyy!!!!!" it yelled. Running up to the Geodude. Putting out two of its chubby hands, it began to sing. After the song was done, the Geodude slumped to the ground, not quite asleep. "Geeeooooo....ZzZzZzZ..." "Let's try this. Pokeball, go!" yelled Adrianna, throwing a ball. The Pokeball sucked up the Geodude. "Weeopp... weoop... weoopppp.... PING!" went the Pokeball. "Yeah! I caught a Geodude! GEOOOO! DUDE!!! HA HA!!" said Adrianna. Jigglypuff went over and picked up the Pokeball and presented it to Adrianna. "Oh, yeah. Thanks!" Just then, a Paras walked through the cavern. "Paras?" it mumbled. "Hey cool. I think Charmander should handle this one- whoa!" cried Adrianna, as the Paras lunged for Jigglypuff. "Stop, Paras!" yelled a gruff voice. Adrianna looked in the direction of the voice. A member of Team Rocket stepped out from the shadows! "Heh heh. Hey, kid, hand over your Pokemon... or else!" he smacked a club against his side and grimaced. "Ow!" "No way," said Adrianna. "Well maybe this will change your mind!" yelled the Rocket. He lunged toward Adrianna with the club. Jigglypuff stepped in the way. "JIGGGY!!!" it yelled, holding its hands above itself. A wicked-looking double-edged blade formed in its hands. Adrianna pulled out her Pokedex. "Double-edge, a powerful Pokemon attack. This attack sometimes causes the attacking Pokemon to get hit with its recoil." Jigglypuff let the attack fly. It hit the Rocket in the chest, knocking him backwards. He stood up, growling. "Paras, go get her!" yelled the Rocket. "Charmander, go!" shouted Adrianna. Charmander got out of his Pokeball and immediatley saw Paras. "Charrrrrr!" yelled Charmander, spraying fire at Paras. "Paras!" said Paras, dodging the fire. "Paras, use your sleep powder! Get 'em all!" yelled the Rocket. Paras shot strange spores out of its back, which surrounded the group. As soon as they were all asleep, the Rocket tied them up and went through Adrianna's duffel. "Hmm... Geodude... Rattata... Charmander... Jigglypuff... man, these Pokemon stink if I could beat them that easily!" said the Rocket, looking at the trio. "I'll just leave them here... and they'll never get out alive!" he smacked his club against Adrianna's right ankle, dislocating it. "HA HA HA HAAAA!!" To be continued...
