From: Mushboom <garrett.green@home.com> Subject: [PW!] I woke up, in Celadon City, in a funky cheap alleyway... Date: Thursday, July 29, 1999 6:11 PM Darius eyes fluttered open with a grumble, something was different. He sat up, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes and took in the scenery. "What the heck?" he yelled out loud, jumping to his feet. "He ditched me!" Darius exclaimed, "Oh well, he wasn't that fun to hang around anyway." He stuffed the bedding in his pillow, "Might as well keep it," he muttered as he wandered down the empty street. It was just before day break and he assumed most of the city was still asleep. He then realized he had been sleeping in an alley for most of the night and frantically checked for his wallet and pokeballs. He sighed with relief as he felt the familiar orbs around his waste and the bulge in his back pocket. He found a bench and slumped down onto it, it would've been alot easier traveling around with the magician. Darius glanced down the empty roads and sighed heavily, 'What am I going to do now?' he thought to himself, 'This pokemon journey stuff has really got me down, I really wish I had some place to settle down.' He kept pondering about things like his future, his present situation and even touched on the subject of his mother for a while. During Darius' thinking he didn't realize the city come to life. People were driving to work and restraunts opened up. Just then a bus pulled up to the bench where Darius was sitting, the door opened with the sound of escaping air. The boy was yanked out of his train of thought by the driver, "Going to Viridian or Cerulean?" "Um...No I guess not, don't have enough cash on me." "Oh? That's too bad, the beaches at Viridian are amazing this time of year. You sure you don't have enough?" "Positive...well actually, how much is a one way ticket?" "Well, I like your face kid so I'll give you a discount price. ¥1000. But that'll only take you to Viridian" "Really? I think I could manage that," Darius fished into his back pocket and hauled out his wallet. He counted ¥1000 and noticed there was still quite a bit leftover. He boarded the bus and handed the money to the driver. The boy took a seat near the front, noticing that only one or two other people. "Next stop, Viridian City," the driver said as he put the bus in gear and took off. -- "When you look this good, you don't have to know anything." -Fry, of Futurama "We're not retreating, we're advancing in another direction." -General A.
