Kris rushed down paths, through gaps in walls, and around boulders. After
battling Justin he had really lost time, and his Pokemon were weak. Pewter
City was getting closer and closer though.
". . how long is this thing?!?!" puffed Kris. He was making good time now
that he was running and not jogging.
"Geo! duuude!" Shouted a Geo Dude, emerging from behind a boulder. Right in
front of Kris.
"What do you want?" askes Kris.
"Geo Geo Geo!"
"Food?! You must be joking."
"GeooO!"Yelled Geodude as he stomped on Kris's foot.
"OW! what the. . .you little. . .im gonna. . .ooooo." moaned Kris as he
clutched his foot in pain. While hopping on one foot, one of Kris' poke
balls fell off his belt.
"Pfit!" The poke ball opened revealing Oddish.
"Huh? get back in your pokeball!" Kris said angrily as he continued to hold
his foot.
"Odd?" said Oddish when it loooked at Kris. "DISH!!!!" Oddish yelled and
chased after Geo Dude.
GEO?! GEO GEO GEO!!!!" yelped GeoDude while trying to evade Oddish.
"What are you doing?" asked Kris.
"Odd!!! ish!" said Oddish, grabbing Geo Dude, and absorbing his energy.
"Ggeeeeeeeo. . . . . . " said GeoDude with his last ounce of breath. GeoDude
fell to the ground unconsious.
". . . you protected me?! I. . . uh. . nevermind, get back in your
Pokeball." Kris said.
"Odd??" asked Oddish as it was transported back into the ball.
"I could have taken care of that Geo Dude. . . . .whoa, thats um, . . . a
big hole in the wall." said Kris sarcastically. He ran to the Cave exit and
looked outside.
" Oh man! its day!" he said, walking out of the tunnel. He looked around for
a place to stay until night fall. He was getting tired anyway. "Hey wait,
wheres that Poke Center thats suppose to be here?" He said look from
building to building, he had exited the cave and was now walking between
various buildings. "Hmm. . . .a Mart, remind me to come here before we leave
Haunter.. . . . there!" He said, pointing at the Poke Center. "Hmm, it looks
open, it musn't be as early as I thought." He ran towards the Poke Center,
though he was very tired, he was glad he finnaly made it to Pewter. He
stepped up to the door, and it opened automatically. His eyes began to hurt
from the bright lights in the Center. He walked up to the front desk and
waited for a Nurse.
"Hi, yeah, I just came out of Mt Moon, and I'd like to get my Pokemon
healed. By the way, by any chance do you have any rooms or beds or anything?
Im about to pass out from exhuastion." He asked the Nurse.
"Oh my! You've been up all night haven't you! Here give me those Pokemon"
She said, taking the Poke Balls out of his hand and giving them to an
assistant. "Now you need to get some sleep. Who knows what you were doing in
Mt Moon all by yourself in the middle of the night!" She said hurrying Kris
along to the overnight rooms.
"Well I'm fifteen, I think I can take care of myself."
"Sure you can, this is one of th few times, we've ever had someone come here
to sleep in the day."
"yeah I kin- . . . . whos that?" Kris asked, looking out the front door.
"No matter, you need your rest, come along now." she said.
"But, who. . .I. . ." he mumbled as he was pushed along by the Nurse, out of
range of seeing out the door. "It looked like a- "
"Now, you don't worry about anything, your safe here" said the Nurse,
closing the door behind her.
Kris layed in the bed, calling him exhausted would be an understatement. His
Pokemon were weak, he was beyond tired and he saw someone outside, but it
was probably just his eyes playing tricks on him. Either way, he jumped on
the bed and fell asleep.
