The sun rose high into the sky as Splash opened his eyes. He lay in bed
for a few minutes thinking. Today, he would leave Cerulean City where he had
lived with his parents all his life since his parents had adopted him from an
adoption agency in Saffron City.
Splash thought for a minute about his birth parents. His mother and father
has told him that they had died in a car fire in Lavender Town. Splash didn't
even know what town his birth parents had lived in.
His mother calling him downstairs snapped him out of his thoughts. Splash
got out of his bed and walked down the stairs into the kitchen. He said hello
to his parents and sat down at the table.
"Hello, Splash, how did you sleep?" His mother asked him, as she put a
plate of pancakes in front of him.
"Fine," Splash said. He picked up a fork and started eating the pancakes.
About 15 minutes later, Splash had finished eating and headed upstairs to
pack his things. He got out his backpack and packed some clothes. He took some
money that he had been saving from his various jobs he had worked at over the
years and stuffed it into his backpack. He also grabbed some empty Pokeballs
and put them in his pack.
Then Splash grabbed his Tentacool's Pokeball and headed downstairs again.
He said goodbye to his parents, who bid him a tearful goodbye, and set off.
Splash's first stop was to the Cerulean Gym, where he would say goodbye to
his Pokemon teacher and get his Pokedex. It wasn't a long walk from Splash's
house to the Cerulean gym, but to Splash, it seemed to take forever.
After a short while, Splash arrived at the front doors of the gym. Splash
hesitated before going into the gym, just staring at it for a while. He would
be leaving the only world he ever knew, and enter a whole new world.
Splash took a deep breath and walked through the doors of the gym.
He walked down to where Misty was waiting for him. She handed him his
Pokedex and said goodbye to her. Than he headed out of the gym and down the
street towards the outskirts of town.
