It turned out to be Lt. Surge's Riachu, back for revenge after Rick turned down a challenge at 6 in the morning from Lt. Surge's old teacher, Mr. Kyoto. The Riachu Thundershocked Rick and Machamp until they lost consciousness. The next day, Rick almost died from his injuries. ===== Vermilion City, Vermilion Hospital, ICU #2 - 6pm, 7 days after the attack. Rick has recovered and is getting ready to leave. There is a cop in his room who is investigating the attack. "I'm telling you, it was Lt. Surge and his Riachu. His old teacher Mr. Kyoto was with him." says Rick. "I'm sorry son, you're wrong. Lt. Surge was in Indigo Plateau all day with Mr. Kyoto and Sabrina. They were discussing the status of the Pokemon League and the Pokemon World. He couldn't of attacked you." says the officer. Rick just leaned back, dumbfounded. 'WITH Sabrina? She must be a part of this. But why? Are they afraid of me?' "Anything else that day, son? Anything, unusual?" asks the officer. "No. Nothing. I do have one question." says Rick, still taken aback from the news of Sabrina's involvement. "Go ahead." says the officer. "Where is my Machamp?" "Don't worry. He's at the Pokecenter. He's fine. In fact, he's been acting like a Chansey! He's helping Nurse Joy move things around." says the officer, laughing. "That's good. Am I free to go? Can I go home?" asks Rick, anxious. "Yes but, there isn't much left. Your apartment was looted. Only a few things remained. No money. Your credit cards and bank account cards were taken. We canceled all accounts. One withdrawal was made since the attack. We found the culprit, who was found to be a Team Rocket member. The withdrawal was of $90,000. We got the money. It's in a safe account." says the officer. He gives Rick a card. "Use this at the ATM on 102nd street and R Ave. It will automatically withdrawal all the money and close the account. The card will be sent to the card melter. From there, you're alone, kid." says the officer leaving. Vermilion City, 102nd and R Ave, ATM - 8am, the next day. Rick walks up to the ATM and looks around him. 'No one is up this early.' thinks Rick, as he puts the card in the ATM. The screen flashes: WELCOME R.VALENTINO C125790000 A slot opens and 1 $50,000, 2 $20,000, 5 $1,000 and 10 $500 bills are pushed out half way. Rick takes the money, puts it in his wallet and presses the 'OK' button. The screen flashes: GOOD LUCK R.VALENTINO C1257CM Vermilion City, Pokecenter - 8:30am, same day. Rick walks up to Nurse Joy. "I heard my Machamp has been helping you!" says Rick, becoming happy. "Yes, it has! We thank you for your help!" she says, calling to a Chansey. "Chansey! Chan chan?" asks the Chansey. "Get the Machamp that has been helping us." "Chansey sey sey!" says the Chansey into the back room. Machamp walks out. "Maaaaaaaa champ!" says Machamp to Rick as Rick calls Machamp back. "Thank you Nurse Joy." says Rick, leaving. Vermilion City, 50th and T Ave - 9:30am, same day. 'I need some more Pokemon and items.' thinks Rick as he sees people go by. 'There is a gullible person. Some plant crazy girl. Looks pretty rich. Must have a good plant Pokemon!' thinks Rick, walking behind the girl, ready to snatch her Pokeball.
