Jared hears running footsteps. He spins > around, looking this way and that. Seeing no one spooks Jared. > "Mag? Magmar?" asks Magmar of Jared. > "Er, sorry Magmar. False alarm, I guess." says Jared, calling Magmar back. > Jared continues running south on the Silent Bride. Route 12, Silent Bridge. The area is river as far as the eye can see with Magikarp swimming north (Running of the Karp) for the spring. The occasional Goldeen is seen charging a Magikarp for food. There are some Persians sitting on rocks in middle of the river, pawing at the water for some food. *-*-* Jared continues running south. After about 10 minutes of running, Jared sits down for a rest. He removes his backpack and gets out a bottle of water and chugs it down. He finds some leftover Philly Cheese Steak and eats that. Then he stands up to begin again but just then, a man steps out of the bushes. "What do you want?" asks Jared. "Your Pokemon, of course!" says the man, whipping off his trenchcoat. He wears a black Team Rocket uniform. "Geo. Dude!" says a Geodude, emerging from the bushes. Jared snaps his Pokeball to the ground, which bursts into flames. Geodude and the trainer are spooked and run for cover. "He's going to melt us!" screams the Rocket, ducking into the bushes. "Magmar, set that bush on fire." Jared says, pointing at the bush the Rocket dove behind. Magmar Fire Blasts the bush, setting it ablaze. The Rocket jumps out from behind, on fire. He runs north, away from Jared and Magmar. "Ma ma ma magmar!" laughs Magmar. "Yeah, what wusses. They were too preoccupied with screaming to notice the flames weren't even above 60 degrees! Return, Magmar." Magmar returns and Jared begins running south again. Route 13, Loud Bridge. The Loud Bridge area doesn't live up to it's name. It's actually more silent then the Silent Bridge! A few Magikarp are seen here, swimming north for the Running on the Karp. There are Goldeen aplenty here also, charging and eating the remaining Magikarp. As night falls, more and more Pokemon come out of the forest such as Pikachu, Vulpix and sometimes a Oddish or Gloom on a small island by the river. The river is only ankle deep here, so you can cross with no problems. *-*-* Jared, learning from the Persians he saw when he was on Silent Bridge, paws at the water, hoping to grab some fish for dinner, as he has run out of sandwiches. Finally he hits home and brings out a 5 lb. fish. Jared has Magmar Flamethrower the head, killing the fish. Jared gathers some wood and has Magmar set it on fire. He stabs 2 long pieces of wood in the ground that a split like a fork on top. Jared skews the fish - that has been gutted - on another long stick. He places that atop the two sticks pointing out of the ground, cooking the fish. Jared digs into his backpack, finding his sleeping bag. He gets it out and lays down on it, looking at the stars. Sky glow is seen off to the west, near Fuchsia City but, not much. Jared spots some of the major constellations quickly. Like the Big and Little Dippers and Orion. After a bit, Jared fall asleep among the stars. Route 13, Loud Bridge. The Loud Bridge area doesn't live up to its name. It's actually more silent then the Silent Bridge! Jared snaps up out of his sleeping bag to find a few kids running and screaming across the bridge towards Lavender Town. It's around 5am so Jared decides to pack up and get going. The fish Jared put on the fire is still there, Jared wraps it up in the wrapping he has left from his other sandwiches in hopes to sell it in Fuchsia City. As Jared walks across the river and back onto the bridge, he sees a Meowth sitting on a rock. Instantly, the Meowth starts hissing. "Oh shut up you cat. It's my fish and you ain't getting any of it." says Jared, climbing onto the bridge and begins walking west. The Meowth jumps onto the bridge and follows. After quite some time of walking, Jared turns around to kick the Meowth away. Just then, Jared notices he can see the ribcage of Meowth as well as its arm bones. Jared quickly gets this fish out and drops it for the Meowth to eat. The Meowth eats it up quickly. "Maybe you should stay with me.," says Jared. "Meowth!" says Meowth. Meowth jumps onto Jared's shoulder. He continues his walk west for a few hours and, quite quickly, steps into Fuchsia City. Fuchsia City, Streets. Fuchsia City is much smaller then the bigger cities like Celadon and Saffron. Almost like a village. To the north is a vast forest that is the Safari Zone. All around are houses. There are 3 larger buildings that are the Pokemon Center, Pokemon Mart and the Warden's House. There are no streets, just dirt paths to walk on. *-*-* Jared makes his way north to Pokemon Center and makes his way in. "Nurse Joy, can you tend to this Pokemon I found?" asks Jared. Jared picks Meowth off his shoulder and puts him on the counter. "Could I get a room, too?" asks Jared. "Sure. Meowth will be fine and so will you!" says Nurse Joy, handing Jared a key. Jared moves upstairs and falls onto the bed, backpack and all, and falls asleep. Fuchsia City, Pokemon Center, Upstairs Overnight Room. The room is furnished with a bed with linens and a couch that has upholstered in dark red velvet. Other then that, the room is plain with a beige carpet and dark red drapes that line the lone window in the room. *-*-* Jared wakes up from the little sunlight that gets into the room. Jared slips his clothes off and steps into the shower. Jared decides to stay in for a while as it is comforting. After the shower, Jared gets dressed and packs up his backpack. He checks the room to see if he left anything. He finds a Super Potion that fell out of his bag, packs it and heads downstairs to the restaurant. He orders a few sandwiches to go. He throws them info his backpack and sets off for the Seafoam Islands!
