It was a warm, sunny morning, which she was glad of, because today was the day that she would start her quest to become a Pokémon master. If nothing went wrong....Quickly getting out of bed, she pulled on her form-fitting black slacks and pale green tank top with a Mew on it. Grabbing her backpack, she checked to make sure every single Pokéball was still in there and that everything was ready. She smiled as she counted her Pokéballs. "There's Chu my Raichu, there's Foxy my Ninetales, there's Portal my Abra....looks like everyone is here." She closed her backpack and slung it across her shoulders. Grabbing her portable umbrella on the way out of her room (she never went anywhere without it) she went downstairs to have breakfast. "Hello, Serayna," said her mother. "The usual fried bacon and toast?" Serayna nodded and sat down at the table, making a face at her younger brother Cody, who sneered right back. Ignoring him, she put her umbrella and Rollerblades in her backpack. Serayna's mom put some fried bacon and toast in front of Serayna, who gobbled up her breakfast and put a Ziploc bag of bacon into her backpack. "Hey Serayna, guess what?" Cody said. Serayna ignored him and finished packing up. She got up to go get her bike, but Cody grabbed her arm. "I was going to give you something, but you obviously don't need it." He acted like he was going to walk away but Serayna demanded "What is it? I do too need it!" Cody shrugged and handed her a TM. "It's the Fire Blast TM," he explained. "I got it from Blaine last night." Serayna hugged him and went out the back door, calling, "Bye Mom! See you soon!" Serayna's mom waved with tears in her eyes.
