Her mother had said that there was a surprise waiting there for her.....As soon as she entered, the man behind the counter asked "Are you Serayna?" Serayna nodded and went up to the desk. The man handed her a Pokéball. "Your mother asked me to give this Pidgeot to you, so you'll have transportation to other places. Its name is Pidge, and it already knows Fly." Serayna thanked the man, tucked the Pokéball into her backpack and looked around the store. "Wow!" she exclaimed as her eyes fell upon a whole shelf of Pokéballs with a SALE sign. "A Pokémon sale!" She rushed over to see what she could buy. There were so many different ones! She decided to purchase a Pikachu, an Electabuzz and an Ivysaur. After she made her purchases and went back outside, she called out Pidge and ordered him to fly her to Pallet Town. Pidge flew at top speed and arrived at Pallet Town in under 15 minutes. When they landed, Serayna recalled Pidge and set off for Professor Oak's lab. She had something to pick up. However, she bumped into a young trainer named Vicky.... "Don't bump into me again!" cried Vicky, obviously displeased. She threw a Pokéball onto the ground, and a Rattata popped out. "Ok..." mused Serayna. "I choose, Pika!" The Pikachu popped out and the Rattata commenced to snarl at it. "Ok Rattata, Quick Attack!" cried Vicky. The Rattata began dashing towards Pika. "Pika, Thunderbolt!" cried Serayna and Pika immediately used her Thunderbolt attack. Rattata tried to fight the effects but couldn't. It crumpled to the ground and Pika squealed in happiness. "Pikachu! Pika pika!" Vicky recalled the Rattata, saying "That was great! Can I tag along with you?" "Sure," replied Serayna, recalling Pika. "I needed some help anyway." Serayna and Vicky arrived at Professor Oak's lab a few minutes later. When they went inside, Professor Oak spotted them immediately. "Hello there!" he said. "You must be Professor Oak," replied Serayna. "I was the one who ordered the custom Pokémon helmets and Rollerblades." Professor Oak studied a list that was laying on his cluttered desk. "Ah! You must be Serayna," he said, handing her a large box. "Here's the things you ordered. Take good care of them!" After saying goodbye to Professor Oak, the two made to leave-but- "Wait!" cried Professor Oak. "You forgot something!" He rushed after them and handed them each a Pokédex. "Take these.
