From: Pokemon089 <pokemon089@aol.com> Subject: [PW!] The begining of a Journey Date: Tuesday, July 20, 1999 5:56 PM OK, heres my first story, tell my what you think -- The breeze felt wonderful! I was finally moving on, away from that terrible place on Cinnibar Island where I'd chosen to live, away from terrible memories of the accident. I was on a boat to Pallet town where I'd become an official trainer. I'd had been training by Kabutops Blade before but I don't think I supposed to without a trainer's licence.I looked ahead of ship we were almost there, I could see Professor Oak's house from here, that's where I'd get me license and Pokédex. There was a group of people standing beside me talking about a kid that ran away form Pallet town the day before to my come a trainer. I heard something about it being because of their parents divorcing. It kind of reminded me of my self except my parents were dead. No one really knew what happened the lab that day, though there was this crazy old man that lived on Cinnibar that would rant about people's memories being erased about the accident. What a freak, I wonder why they didn't just put him in with all the other crazy people. But, what if he was right, what if something happened there that someone, or something, doesn't want us to remember? "Kabutops!", said Blade jerking me out of my daydream. The ship was docked and people were getting off. "Come on, Blade, let's go," I said to him. We started to walk off the ship as some little brat tripped me! "KABU KABUTOPS!" Blade yelled angrily at the boy. "Back off Blade, I can handle this!", I said. I grabbed the kid's shirt collar and yelled, "You little jerk! You even think about tripping me again and won't live to regret it!" "OK, OK, I'll back off all right!" he said. I let him go then he quickly ran from me. Coward. Pallet Town wasn't very big, only a handful of people lived there and one of them was Professor Oak. Blade and I headed over to the lab building and walked in. It was fairly cool in there, I saw all kinds of Pokémon information charts and huge shelves of Pokémon books. There were two people in the front part of the building, probably Professor Oak's assistant. I walked to the back and saw Professor Oak. "I'd want to apply for a Trainers license," I told him. "OK, I see you already have a Pokémon," he said looking at Blade, "just fill out this form," he said handing me a piece of paper and a pen. The form started with simple questions like name, starting Pokémon, that kind of thing but went into a quiz. About 15 minuets later I handed Professor Oak the completed form. "OK, let me look this over and see if you qualify for a license," he said as he walked in to another room. I drummed my fingers on a desk as I waited, I'm not a very patent person. Finally he walked out holding several items. "Congratulations, here's your license, Pokéballs, and Pokédex," said Professor Oak handing all the stuff. Finally my first good luck in two years! -- Pokemon089
