Recently on the PokeWars! Phoo has been rescued from his Lickitung,
Grayswandir, from the menace known as the Doppleganger. After naming his
Lickitung, Phoo set off on Farfetch'd towards the west, where he believes
Icy, the Pikachu, may be.
Flap, flap.
Flappity flap.
"Farfetch'd, far farity far..."
Flap.
VROOOMM!!!!!!!!!!!
"FARF!!!! Far! Quack!"
"PIDGEO!!!!!!!!!"
Another massive Pidgeot whizzed by Phoo and Farfetch'd. There was
always a lot of air traffic to and from Celadon, but there was more than
usual today, which was a terrible misfortune. Fortunately, they didn't
encounter much else than people riding these enormous Pidgeots, which were
fed steroids to increase their size so that more people could fit on them.
But the Pidgeots were enough. Fortunately there wasn't any mist above
Celadon, only the occasional puff of smog. Farfetch'd was having quite a
day, nonetheless.
And so was Phoo. To the west lied Icy, he was sure of it, but what was
in the west, past Celadon? "Hmm... as far as I was taught... the center of
the world was at Saffron... the positive energies... at Celadon... the
negative energies at Lavender... and the forces of balance and power in
Cerulean and Fuschia. ... ... Hmm... and that is all I know... of this
land. Erm... hrm... I implore upon my past self that I should have
learned... more."
As Farfetch'd flew among the clouds, the Pidgeot planes grew lesser and
lesser. Also, the landscape of Celadon faded to suburbs and forest, and
eventually a steep hill full of bicycles. Phoo looked down in awe as he saw
another glimpse of the sea, which he now realized expanded for what seemed
forever. Thinking back to the sea, and the cliff back in Celadon, thoughts
of Phoo's dear friend Krabby resurfaced in his memory. A lone tear trickled
down Phoo's small face.
But there was no time for remorse. Farfetch'd could fly easily, but had
little sense of direction, and Phoo had to guide him. The sea streched
below endlessly, and swimmers dotted it like ants. Farfetch'd flew out
beyond the breakers, and much of the ocean was wreathed in fog. Phoo turned
away from the sea and looked ahead of him, towards the west, at the clouds,
and psychically gave Farfetch'd the direction to go in. Farfetch'd nodded,
and sped off, dodging a burst of turbulence.
*** About 5 hours later ***
"Farf! Far'fetchd! Fetch! Fetch! Quack, quack!" Farfetch'd trilled,
as he pointed, with a wing, to a parting in the mist. Phoo and Farfetch'd
had crossed the sea, and in doing so, had run into a bout of fog. But
Farfetch'd, being a diligent flyer, and Phoo, having an excellent sense of
direction, had made it across with much preservence. Phoo presently nodded
to Farfetch'd, and they swooped downwards, to meet a vastness of greenery.
Phoo stared in awe at the landscape that was before him. A sparse town,
with a few locals drifting about, enmassed in a sea of green trees. Thick
forests laid to the north and west. Young pokemon trainers with their
pokemon scampered about, enjoying their innocence with bliss. A pond was in
one corner of the town, which had several fishermen. The whole scope of the
place was about a mile square. In short, it was the perfect hamlet, where
everybody knows everyone. Phoo gasped again, and pointed to Farfetch'd a
lush gathering of trees on the edge of the town. Farfetch'd nodded, and
swooped.
A perfect landing. Farfetch'd met the ground, and skidded to a halt.
Well, it was a perfect landing as far as Farfetch'd was concerned. Phoo
jumped off, and Farfetch'd started preening.
"Hmm... amazing! My attention draws all across... this serene locale.
Possibly this is an isolated island... or something of that nature? Hmm...
the flora here is quite different than that of Celadon... a entirely
different freshness to the whole... beauty of it. It bares the closest...
reminiscence of Foomyama's abode that I have... seen in all this plane!
Hmm! Surprised I would not be if Acropomider lived here... as it is of his
element." Phoo paused, and looked around again. He continued thinking,
"Hmm... I wonder what the name of this place be?"
Phoo remembered Farfetch'd, who was preening himself like someone gone
mad, looked at him, and returned him to his pokeball. Phoo then had a
little jolt of a thought, slapped himself, and decided to bring Farfetch'd,
along with his other pokemon out, to lavish in the experiences of this new
place. Four flashes of light, and four pokemon materialized from their
pokeballs. Phoo turned first, to Aurelia and Grayswandir, and touched
them lightly with his foreclaw, establishing the psychic link.
"Behold," he thought to the two of them, "this is a most wondrous place!
Does it not remind you of our home? I would like you to explore... be free
for a while, but please do make yourselves stealthy! If only Krabby had...
been... here... ... ... ... yes, just... go on now..." Phoo's thoughts
trailed off, but he tried to regain his composure. Grayswandir, being a
Lickitung and having a short attention span, had already wandered off,
intent to make a day out of this venture, but Aurelia, being a Chansey, was
devoted to her master, and bounced around giddily next to Phoo, excited for
little reason. Phoo now turned to Porygon.
"Porygon," Phoo thought to him, "I am sure that you never could imagine
of a place such as this, ever since your creation in Celadon. Please... I
implore of you... explore, imagine, ... live. Learn, Porygon... learn and
live. How is that? Words of wisdom... go seeking, Porygon, your identity,
simply put... have a great time today!" Phoo then patted Porygon on the
shoulder, and then he scrabbled off. Now Phoo turned towards Farfetch'd,
and talked to him physically.
"Farfetch'd, thanks for the ride. This seems like a place you might
enjoy. But really... you're like Grayswandir. I have no idea what you'd
like to do."
"Farfetch'd!"
"Really? That is... different, to say the least."
"Far! Fetch'd!"
"Well, whatever pleases you..."
"Quack! Quack quack!" And with that, Farfetch'd trodded off into the
forest.
"Hmm... how peculiar. Going to look for celery? I really never will
understand the ways of him..." Phoo shrugged with his practically
non-existant shoulders, and started to walk off, only to bump into Aurelia.
"Aurelia... please enjoy our stay at Viridian. But please... you don't
always need to follow me. Maybe you could go..." Phoo stopped talking, as
Aurelia picked him up and hugged him, then bounced off, giggling. Phoo just
stood there, shook his head, then started walking off, unassuming of the
dangers that were just ahead.
"Well, I guess I'm back on track, with my mission outlaid... now where
could Icy possibly be... amazing, what an experienced being he is," Phoo
thought once more, before he disappeared into the town.
What lies ahead for Phoo? Only Karnivax knows!
