Watch me...> and Charmander demonstrated putting one foot in front of the other, and walked to the door. "Wait for me!" Tre walked up beside him. "You should probably go in your Pokéball, huh?" She called him back, and got her other 8 free Pokéballs ready. Tre walked in, and saw immediatly where she was supposed to go. She gave the attendant 500P and took 30 Safari Balls. Let's go, she thought. Tre walked into the entrance. She looked around at flocks of Nidoran, scattered Parasects, and Venonat flying overhead. She didn't know where to start! What do you think, Charmander? she thought, hoping he could hear. <Grass or electric type would be good, considering you are a fire trainer and thus very weak to water.> Good thinking... she looked around. An Exeggcute! Tre threw some bait. It wandered over, and started eating. Tre threw a Safari Ball, but missed. The Exeggcute looked up, startled. She quickly threw another one, and got the pokémon. The Safari Ball bounced around a little, and finnaly... the Exeggcute escaped and ran away. Well, now what do I do? she thought. She walked into Area 1, and immediatly ran into a Paras. *Parrrrras!* It looked frightened. She bent down, and saw that one of its mushrooms had been almost compleatly ripped off. "Come here, little guy. I won't hurt ya! Come on..." Tre eased the Paras into the Safari Ball. "That's right..." She stood up. Hmm... I have a grass type pokémon - sort of - now, how do I make the most of the rest of this trip? And where are the dang Magmar? <Magmar live only on Cinnibar Island, in the Mansion.> "DANG IT!" Tre screamed, scattering a flock of Doduo. She wandered around, and suddenly saw a rustling of grass. Suddenly, a Scyther towered in front of her. "Oh my gosh......" she whispered. It looked down at her menacinly. *SCYTHER!* She threw a large rock at it, and it stumbled backward a step. She threw another one at it's head, then threw a Safari Ball. Amazingly, it stopped bouncing. "I did it? I did it! I CAUGHT A SCYTHER!" Just then, she was called over the P.A. "Your time is up, Miss Davidson." As she exited the Safari Zone, she relesed Charmander. "Charmander, Charmander, guess what! I -" <Yes, I know. Very impressive throw!> Tre smiled. <No, really!> he insisted. "So, the next thing to do is visit the Gym leader?" she asked. <Don't you think you should get the hang of battling with Paras and Scyther first? Especially the latter, it will probably be pretty agressive and may not obey you.> "Well, let's see what level he is." She pulled out pokédex. "The Scyther you caught is level 21. It knows quick attack, leer, and focus energy. The Paras is 15, and knows scratch and stun spore." "Um, pokédex, I've been wondering - what level is Vulpix?" "Your Vulpix is level 17." "Thanks, pokédex." She put it back on her belt. "So, a level 14 Charmander, a level 17 Vulpix, a level 21 Scyther, and a level 15 Paras.
