He offered to help James (not Kojirou), an ATR member and former Rocket in trouble. -===---===--===---===--===---===- Gohan and Fox conversed with Raven, with the former attacking Rocket threat dissolved. "We'd be happy to help you," Fox replied. "Yeah," Gohan said, "Where is this James, anyway?" "Follow me." With that, Raven led them away from the firefight, and began to speak. "You see gu---" Suddenly, a beeping sound was heard. Gohan removed the PokéDex from his belt, one of the few things he kept attached with his ATR uniform in case Steve needed contact him. "This must be him," he thought. Gohan explained. "Raven, I don't know how to leave on such short notice, but my friend, Steven Fugues, has notifyed me that he is awaiting our arrival. We gotta meet him." He sighed. Raven nodded. "I understand..well, things here are looking better, anyway. The Rocket threat is almost gone, and we're ready to prepare....relocation. Alright. Here," he handed them a small piece of paper. "Dial this into any phone..you'll find one of us on the other line." The three shook hands, and separated. Gohan and Fox headed towards the room which held their belongings. They changed back, and each held a Pokéball. "PIGEOT!" "FEAROW!" <-===--scene--switch-===> ["GYAAAOOOOOOO!"] Pigeot stood at attention on the Cinnabar dock. Fearow hovered overhead. "Thanks, guys." They took out their respective Pokéballs, and withdrew them. "Where do you think Steve and Karen'll be?" Fox looked to Gohan. "I have no clue..by Steve's message, though, he should contact us again once we're at Cinnabar. Let's get outta the sun and into the Pokécenter." They walked into the gratefully-airconditioned Pokécenter, and sat down. Gohan remembered the slip of paper Raven had given him. He walked past a now-sleeping Fox, and over to the tele-vid-screen. He dialed on the digital key-pad. "Let's see..3, 2, 5, 3, 4, and 4. Hmm.." After a few rings, someone picked up on the other line. "Here we go.." It spoke in the MovieFone guy voice. "The heck..? I didn't dial 777-FILM!" "Hello, and welcome to ATR. If you are being attacked, press one now. If you are at a remote location, press 2 now. If you are a new recruit, press 3. If you know the name of the Rocket you'd like to kill, press 4." Gohan dialed 3. "You've selected 'I'm an new recruit and someone gave this slip of paper to me.' Pres 4 now for the complete new recruit upgrade package." Gohan did so, and prompts appeared on the vid-screen. "Please insert your official Pokémon League sanctioned Pokédex." He inserted his into the slot on the screen, took Fox's, and did the same. After a slight whirring sound, prompts on the screen returned. "Congratulations, ATR recruit, you've recieved the exclusive prototype upgrade package confirmed by one of our agents, also one of Prof. Oak's aides. You'll find the newest information disclosed only to ATR agents, which will not be released on the market for some time. Also, we've upgrade your communications system in the Pokédex, and added quite a few functions. These include constantly streamed lists of current ATR enemies and members, and events through wireless updates. And of course you'll notice the brand new 'Stealth' scheme given to your Pokédex. Thankyou for calling the ATR Network service. And please do not dial this number again, or give out this information." The screen blinked off. Gohan blinked a few times. "Woohoo! This is awesome!" His Pokédex was returned, shining from the new black-and-silver metallic case. There were a few attachments, which he decided he would look at later. An ATR symbol adorned the cover, which now slid open with the push of a button. "Sweet!" He looked at the screen, which was completely flat and clear, like an LCD display, with crisp images. And even the pictures of Pokémon were now videos of them, such as in their native environments and using their attacks. A GPS would show where they could be found and captured. The menu to the new Proto-Pokédex had the basic functions, and the new communications function, along with the ATR one. It showed a list of people with faces and notes that belonged to ATR. And upcoming events. "Ooh, ATR barbecue!" This thing was a god-send. It was amazing. Probably why it was still a prototype..the bugs probably weren't all worked out yet, but it was great. And it only grew to about an 1-inch in length and width. He returned Fox's Pokédex to it's respectful place, and zipped the attachments, including his, into his backpack. He played with the "Proto-dex", and awaited Steve's response, with a snoring Fox next to him. TBC? -===---===--===---===--===---===- Spawn, it's up to you to continue the message made to the Pokédex. Take it from here. ^_^ -- Yoda Site: http://yoda.pagehub.com E-Mail: Yoda325344@aol.com ICQ: 31178519 AIM: YodaMonX SW: Pabre Sinew "God help me if I find pickles!" - Stewie "The box said Win95 or better, so I bought a Mac." - AH "Do.
