Your turn, Erika (Along with partial reprint from “Movin’ on”, sorry Enter,
I’m edithappy)
“Chase the pikachu?” Trix shrieked at some of the girls in the room, sparks
flying from his cheeks. “What if the pikachu doesn’t wanna be chased?
Youch!” Trix started running from one of the more adventurous ones.
Phannon ignored the mouse(Raichus = good, Pikachus = good, for kicking =P)
and kept pacing, wondering if he would get another chance at Erika. “I hope
Rose is okay.” He looked over to where Erika was pacing, and altered his
path so soon they were pacing together. He kept going like this for a couple
trips. “You know…” he started.
“You know what?” Erika asked, looking up into Phannon’s blue eyes.
“You know.” He stopped pacing. “They say the best way to pass the time is a
pokémon battle.”
Erika raised an eyebrow. “Who they?”
“You know, they.” Phannon replied, letting his lopsided grin work its magic.
“I guess you want a Rainbow badge.” Erika stated.
“Your grasp of the obvious is amazing.” (I couldn’t help it, sorry) Trix
squeked as he ran through one of the trainer’s legs.
“Pretty much.” Phannon replied, gesturing in the general direction of the
gym. “Let’s go.” His grin growing into his irresitable smile. Erika looked
at him for a while before making her way to the door.
“I don’t want to go all the way to the gym.” She said stopping in front of
the door. “So let’s go right here. Three pokémon each”
“Fine. Pixar go!” The little fox jumped forward. “Who do you chose?”
“Ivysaur! Go!” The weird four-legged plant leapt from the pokéball.
“Ivysaur!” I focused on the fight, planning my attacks.
“Pixar, Body Slam!”
“Pix!” The fox charged the ivysaur.
“Ivysaur! Vine whip!”
“Ivy!” The plant dodged Pixar’s attack with surprising agility. “IvySAUR!”
It’s vines punished Pixar repedeately.
“Pixar!Ember!” A small flash of fire flew out of her mouth, incinerating the
vines, the small flash grew into a larger torrent, as the strong fox used
flamethrower indstead (I dump ember for flamethrower.)
“Yes!” I whooped, knowing the Ivysaur wouldn’t recover.
“Nice.” Erika admitted. “Ivysaur! Return! Go Victreebel!”
“Pixar, quick attack!”
“Victreebel! Razor leaf!”
“Vulpix!” Pixar slammed into the Victreebel.
“Now Body Slam!” I ordered, taking advantage of Pixar’s speed.
“VulPIX!” The Victreebel bounced as its whirlwind of razor sharp leaves
started peppering Pixar. “PIX! PIX! PIX!” I winced in sympathy as she took
hit after hit.
“Pixar flamethrower!” The fire charred the leaves, but left the victreebel
untouched.
“Victreebel! Wrap!” Erika replied, knowing nothing escaped her Victreebel’s
grasp.
“PIX!” Pixar screamed as it was pulled in. “PIX!”
“Victreebel! Sleep power!” The vulpix’s screams subsided as it fell asleep.
I reached for the pokéball and called her back. I grabbed another ball from
my belt, and threw it into the air over the fight area. “Warbeak! GO!” The
Spearow appeared, soaring. “Warbeak! Fly attack!”
“Victreebel, growth!” Erika responded, her victreebel almost doubling in
size. “Wrap when the spearow hits you.”
“Oh, well,” I shrugged, “bigger target.”
“SPEAR!” My spearow dropped from the sky like a rock, a rock aimed at the
enlarged victreebel. “SpearOW!” The force of the impact sent the victreebel
flying backwards, it grabbed hold of the spearow and held on for all it was
worth.
“Warbeak! Peck it!” The spearow’s head blurred like a woodpecker as it tore
chunks of plant matter from the victreebel.
“Bel! Victree!” Erika returned Victreebel and sent out her third and final
pokémon.
“Vileplume! GO!” Warbeak circled the vileplume to gain altitude. “Solar
Beam!” A vortex of solar energy swirled around Vileplume’s petals.
“Not good.” I muttered, thinking. “Razor wind!” The spearow flapped its
stubby wings, creating a whirlwind,
“PLUME!!” A beam of pure solar energy lanced up from the vileplume into
Warbeak, totally consuming him. The beam was still there when Warbeak
dropped to the ground, fainted.
“Return!” I yelled, remaining focused. “Generator, Go!”
“Jolt!” he ran forward, entering the arena.
“Double team!” His image blurred, making the appearance that there was more
than one, I couldn’t even tell which one was real.
“Vileplume! Poison Powder all of them!” Erika shouted, making the best
decision she could.
“Generator, Body Slam!” The figures rushed out of the cloud of poison
powder, and one slammed into the confused Vileplume.
“Vileplume! Counter with absorb!” The plant jumped on one of images, picking
the wrong one, falling flat on his face.
“Generator! Thunderbolt!” The real Generator stopped in his tracks, spikes
arcing electricity.
“Jolt!” He was emitting an electric glow. “Jolt! JoltEON!” The electricity
tore through the ground, seeking the Vileplume.
“Plume?” The pokémon saw the energy racing towards it, and immediately tried
to burrow itself into the ground. That helped a little, but the rest of the
blast jumped into the vileplume, singeing its leaves. “Plume.” It passed out
halfway in the ground.
“Jolt!” Generator backflipped, celebrating his victory.
“Ching!” I whooped, pumping my fist in the air. Ecstatic, until I remembered
the vileplume. “Need help getting it out?” I asked Erika.
“No, I’ll be fine.” She walked to her rooted plant. “Nice battle.”
“Thanks.” Phannon shrugged. “You ever think of travelling?” He asked,
hoping.
“Yeah, but that’s against PW rules.” Erika replied, as she gave him the
cascade badge.
“The good ones are always either stuck or..” Phannon trailed off, statching
his head.
“Or what?” Her eyebrow raising again.
“Taken.” Phannon let his lopsided grin return. “Let’s check on Storm.”
“Sure, I’ll check on Rose.” Erika headed for the hospital.
“Oh, I almost forgot about her.” Phannon let his grin grow as he signaled
for Generator to follow him into the building.
Upon entering, the two trainers saw Trix still being chased by various
trainers from Celadon Gym.
“Poor mouse.” Phannon shook his head.
“He’s kinda cute.” Erika smiled. Trix had made his way over to the door,
panting for breath.
“Huff, Storm’s still, puff, out cold, huff. Rose is, puff, stable, huff,
huff. Keep them away from me!” He climbed Erika’s leg, and took refuge on
her shoulder.
“Sure,” she said surprised, “you can sit on me.” Trix turned and pulled a
face at Phannon.
“How’d the battle go?” He asked.
“I won,” Phannon said, “naturally.” His smug smile returning as he showed
off his new badge. “I’d better take my pokémon over to the pokécenter.”
“Take mine, too.” Erika passed him her pokébelt. “You beat them pretty bad.”
Phannon just nodded as he took the proffered belt. He walked out the door
and turned right, headed for the pokécenter, next door.
When he got to the counter he deposited Warbeak and Pixar, along with Erika’
s three. He tried to give them Generator, but he received a static shock,
and the jolteon took his usual place at Phannons side.
By the time he got back to the hospital Storm was just beginning to stir.
“Are you okay?” Phannon asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine." said Storm. "Who are you? And is that your Pikachu?"
"Name’s Phannon. And thats definatly not my Pikachu." He glared at the
electric mouse.
"My name's Trix." spoke the Pikachu.
"My names Storm. Glad to meet you both." The trio heard footsteps, looked,
and saw Erika pacing back and forth where Rose was lying.
"I'm sorry but.....no..........thats not it..............Rose, I'm sorry,
but......no..........." Just then Rose woke up. "Rose." said Erika. "I'm
sorry.....but there are too many new trainers applying at our gym. We had to
let of our regulars go. You were one of them." said Erika, her voice
cracking.”
"We should leave her alone...." said Phannon, as he ushered Storm and Trix
walked out of the room. The three made small talk for an hour until Rose
finally came out of the hospital room.
"Storm." she said. "It's been my dream to become a pokemon master. Please
let me travel with you."
"OK" said Storm. "We'll set off for Fuschia in the morning."
"Fuschia?" questioned Rose. "I wanted to head off for Saffron."
"OK. Head for Saffron. I'll lend you my Pidgeotto. Meet me in Fushcia." Said
Storm.
"OK.......but I've never handeled a Flying pokemon........so don't kill me
if Pidgeotto dies, OK?" said Rose.
"Hah hah." laughed Storm. "OK, I won't." he then looked at Trix and Phannonm
who were lounging at a table. "You guys coming with us?"
"Yeah..I think I'll go to Saffron. We can hop on my bike.” said Phannon,
winking at Rose. “I’ll ride you.”
"Great. I'm stuck with Mr. Freak Of Nature over here." said Storm.
"HEY!!!!" yelled Trix, as the two left, headed for Fushcia.
