He had just recently stolen a Mr. Mime from some trainer, after that trainer had killed his Mankey. Of course, it was partially his fault for now calling Monkey back, but Splash's mind couldn't accept that. "There he is!" a voice cried. "That's the kid who stole my Mr. Mime!" Splash turned around and saw the trainer whom he had stolen a Mr. Mime from with Officer Jenny and a couple other police officers. Splash started to run. The police officers chased after him. Splash had to lose them. He couldn't go to jail. As Splash ran, his face grew cold and determined. He knew what he wanted to do. He knew where he was going. He just had to get away from these police officers. Splash kept running for a while. It was obvious that the police officers were getting tired from chasing him, but they probably had called for other officers to intercept him near Cerulean City. Splash looked around as he ran. There was a train passing through near where he was running. Splash decided to jump abord as it passed by him. He ran as fast as he could towards the train. It had already started to move when Splash jumped onto the last car. It was a box car, and it was empty. Splash watched as the police officers stopped running, knowing that they couldn't catch him. He could jump off at any time. He decided to call out the Mr. Mime he stole. Splash still didn't know how the pokemon would react to him as its trainer, but he decided to find out. "Mr. Mime?" It asked, confused. Splash had to think of something quick. Where was the pokemon's trainer, and why was Splash there instead. Suddently, an Idea came to him. "You trainer decided to make up for killing my Mankey, so he gave me you to train instead," Splash lied. The Mr. Mime looked like he was accepting this, and soon started acting friendly to Splash. Splash held up his pokedex and asked it what attacks the Mr. Mime knew. "This Mr. Mime knows confusion, barrier, and light screen," The pokedex beeped. Splash called out his Tentacool, Tenta, so that the Mr. Mime and he could keep Splash company on the way to Viridian City.
