[Thanks to Robert for pointing this post out to me....it woulda been ugly
otherwise. ^^;; Still might...whoo...^^; ]
"Umm...can Mimic ask one favor?"#Speak, Ditto.#
"No tell anyone about Seth and Aerie? Would cause much trouble if manyknow."
#Agreed. I do not *trust* your friends...but I will give them a chance
to prove themselves. They are on their own until then, so far as I am
concerned.#Seth ground his teeth, shifting his attention back to Mimic.
#And I will do *you* one more favor. He should cool off by the time he
reaches you.#Mimic found himself on top of Pokemon Tower, next to Aerie.
Seth found himself next to Pokemon Tower, with his transformations
disabled for a few seconds.
"WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa-" *whump* "-iyyite!" [2]
Slasher found himself safely on the ground next to a Seth-shapedcrater.
["So, does 'iyyite' now count as a swear word?" scene switch]
The two Rockets were, to put it mildly, nonplussed to see their targets
vanish in front of them, followed closely by Sabrina's projection. They
sighed, growled, and made other noncommital noises of displeasure, then
peeled off and discarded their costumes.
He was not amused. These had been *perfect* disguises, but they would
not work outside of this situation.
She wondered what the value was in a pair of human-sized herring suits.
Especially red ones: they stuck out like sore thumbs.
[Okay....here goes...^^;; ]
"Purrr?"
Slasher put his nose down next to the crater in time to meet a dark dusty
glove. It gripped the side of the crater, and was followed by another glove.
A shock of blue hair and blazing emerald eyes pulled up behind them. The face
was dirty and angry.
"Now I think I know why Prof. Shard hated Sabrina so much," Seth growled.
Ignoring the mention of one the teachers from Team Rocket Academy, Slasher
grabbed Seth's sleeve by the teeth and dragged him the rest of the way out.
"OW! Not so rough!"
"Sian!"
"Where's Aerie and Mimic?" Seth looked around as he brushed the dust off
himself. Finally his eyes spotted movement at the top of the tower. "Goddish,
when I get ahold of Mimic.... How could he do something like that to me!?
That....That...." He choked on his anger.
"PURR!"
"Hey! What I did to Aerie was different! I only had her best interests....our
best interests in mind! Maybe I shouldn't have gone behind her back, but
still! Mimic....I told him what could happen, he...!"
"Purrr.....purrsian, SIAN!"
"Oh quiet you old fleabag!" Seth grumbled and marched off in the direction of
the tower entrance. If he couldn't fly up through a transformation, he'd take
the stairs. Slasher just sat with his tail curled around him, whiskers
twitching. Better to let the young fool venture inside on his own. There was
no use arguing when he was like this. The Persian's slitted eyes followed Seth
to the door until he disappeared, then up to the imposing structure.
"Sian."
***
Inside, Seth found himself in a dimly lit environment. Scattered about the
large room were mourners in black and people come to remember their departed
Pokemon. Seth passed by the front desk. He already appeared to be wearing
black so getting past unnoticed was no problem.
"Stairs....." He slipped past a girl laying a flower before a gravestone.
There were stairs going up. He practically ran up, entering a much darker
room. As he walked through he thought he could see figures around the
gravestones, but it was near impossible to see in the dark. And besides that,
there was a thick rolling fog everywhere for some reason. Seth coughed a bit
and attempted to see through the cover.
Nothing presented itself, and he made his way to the next flight of stairs.
That floor was no different from the one before. Except this time he could
hear noises. Some were hollow like wind through reeds, some noises were raspy,
and others sounded like wailing women. Seth hurried onto the next set of
stairs.
There was no escape. That floor was the same as before, complete with creepy
noises. Though the room seemed darker than before. Seth ran into a few
gravestones attempting to find his way out. Just as he discovered the stairs,
something small ran out in front of him.
"WHA!?" Seth shrieked in fright. In response whatever it was flung something
at him.
"CU...!"
Whatever it was smashed into Seth's face, sending him sprawling back across the
floor. #Dirt....# Seth thought, #the floor is covered with dirt....# And as
he raised his head in pain, he looked up in time to see a Cubone strike its
bone club down on his head once more.
"BONE!"
SMASH! Seth was seeing stars.....and he just lay there.

Meanwhile on top of Pokemon Tower, Mimic had taken on the form of giant disco
ball. People for miles around had now stepped out to see what all the lights
were about. Some puzzled over the meaning, while still others were enraged and
discussed methods of removing it. The majority however had started up some
music and begun dancing. Old Mr. Fuji himself had suddenly stepped out in the
middle of town and shocked everyone by outdoing John Travolta ala Saturday
Night Fever.
***
Oblivious to the insanity outside, Seth was at last coming to inside Pokemon
Tower. He rose stiffly, rubbing his forehead. He wasn't sure how long he'd
been out, but the Cubone had disappeared, and he had to continue onward.
Climbing the stairs, he found himself in the same environment yet again, but
now there was an awful chill in air. Seth felt goosebumps as he walked through
the eerie room.
As he walked he was surrounded by a glowing fog. With each step he thought he
would come to the end, but this room seemed endless. Then he heard the deep
unnatural laughter. Seth froze at the sight of two red eyes floating ahead of
him. A scream rising in his throat, he struggled to run. But he stayed right
where he was.
It was a Haunter, and a rather big one at that. It had a sadistic grin on its
transparent fanged face. A purple claw was raised, and Seth was flung into a
nearby wall. Pain washed over his form as reality around him seemed to shimmer
and become lost. When the Night Shade attack faded, he went sliding down the
side of the wall.
"HAW HAW HAW HAW!" The Haunter glided through the fog to play with the
intruder some more.
Seth clutched at the grainy stone wall behind him. It was ice cold and wet
against his hands. "I-I'm not afraid of ghosts.....you can't hurt me..."
Empty words he'd used many times in his childhood to ward away anything that
may have been lurking beneath his bed or in the closet. But faced with a very
real ghost Pokemon, he knew he had only one hope in his situation. Nothing.
His body tensed with his next effort. But he couldn't transform, his body was
still stuck in his current form.
"NO!" Seth had no psychic Pokemon. "Think, Seth, think!"
"HAUNT HAUNT HAUNTER!" The Ghost's large gruesome face suddenly zoomed up to
Seth, nearly paralyzing him with fear. Then he blinked.
"Haunt...HAUNTER HAW!" Seth yelled back at the top of his lungs. "HAW HAW
HAW!"
The Haunter floated back a few feet and stared. "Haunter?"
Seth jumped up and down like a maniac, waving his arms at the Pokemon.
"HAUNTER!!!!!!" Then he broke into gibberish and threw a blue rose at the
Haunter.
"HAW!" Half scared out of its wits by the demented looking boy, the Haunter
mistook the rose for an attack for some kind. Deciding not to mess with
something it didn't understand, the sadistic Haunter floated down through the
floor in search of a victim who would react as they should.
After watching the Haunter disappear, Seth went running through the fog, still
laughing like crazy that he was still alive. He didn't even stop when he went
running up the next flight of stairs. But he did as soon as he heard the
screaming.
"Doesn't this place ever end?" Seth whispered to himself.
"No. This is a place of eternal rest." The female voice was hollow and dry.
Seth turned to see the robed woman with long swaying hair approach him through
the fog. Concidering all his past encounters with beings in that place had
been painful, Seth watched her cautiously. "Who are you?"
"I am a channeler," She rasped.
"Oh..." Seth gave a sigh of relief. "I've heard of you types..."
"Yes." She looked Seth over. "And you should not be here."
He blinked. "I thought this place was open to the public!"
The channeler's eyes narrowed. Seth stepped back in surprise as her hair
started flaring away from her face as though a strong wind had sprung up. But
the air in the room was still. "You *will* join us!" She rasped. A green aura
surrounded her as she lifted an outstretched arm towards Seth.
"NO! I've had it with this place!" Seth yelled. He tried bolting past her,
but was met with a storm of raging orange energy. He screamed as it jolted and
snapped about him.
"You can not resiiist!" The channeler howled, raising her clawed hand into the
air.
Yet Seth continued to fight against the energy barrier, his form lit with
orange energy. His hair was pulled away from his face, bright orange from the
light. He wanted to cry out for help.....Mimic, Aerie, Slasher....Mimic....
His whole being was in pain, but he refused to go back. He could see the next
flight of stairs just beyond, and if he could only reach it..... He would make
it!
The possessed channeler screeched as Seth started moving forward. "Impossible,
impossible! You must stay!"
He could feel both his body and mind quiver and threaten to break apart. But
he couldn't stop. Drawing all his raw strength and trying his best to will his
mind to stay in one piece, he pushed into the field. The crackling energy
broke though him like oil in a frying pan, but he finally thrust his fist and
an entire arm though the barrier. There was a loud shot like a gun firing, and
an explosion of orange light.
Behind him, the defeated channeler ran off hissing and screaming. The light
had faded, and Seth lay quietly on the ground. At first glance he appeared
dead. After a few minutes however, a hand finally moved. With a groan, he
lurched to his feet, a hand to his head. Ahead of him at last, was the door to
the top of the tower.
He was still for a moment. Then his shoulders shook with a dark chuckle. He
looked up at the door, his eyes flashing a ruby red. "Father dear....I'm
coming for you."
TBC?
(Nope, he isn't possessed, but Seth now has a new little problem.... ^^;; )
