"Orion..." > Dernam looked long and hard at the huge, blue bird. Another fairy-tale being from his child-hood stories, Articuno. He feared it would come and attack, but it staved off, and continued to the southwest. He sighed with releif. Another thought struck him. Viridian, Pallet, and Cinnabar were in that general direction. And he knew what one legendary bird had wanted to do. Damn. He bolted past Neo and Dern, to the hospital. He had remembered a guy with an Aerodactyl, and that's what they needed. He swiftly searched the building, and found him. "You." The one with the Aerodactyl looked up. "Me?" "Yes, what's your name? "Sirius." Hm, odd name. But Dernam probably didn't sound to good to Sirius, he thought. "You got an Aerodactyl, correct?" "Yeah....." "Good. I've just seen another bird, I believe Articuno." "Yeah, I heard on the news." "It's headed southwest. We must act." Sirius became concerned. "But my friend, he's hurt." "Look, we can wait around here and take care of him, but many will die if we don't act now! I've nothing to get us there, wherever there is. My Scyther can only care one person, probably myself. She can't bear the load of us all. Your Aerodactyl can carry many. We may be those people's only hope. They're virtually blind!" He'd seen the news report. It said they were out of power. The other legendary bird, Zapdos, perhaps? Sirius looked concerned, thinking hard. "Something wrong, Sirius?" "Yeah, I was thinking of my friend, Orion....." "The medical staff here can take care of Derrick, but they can't do a thing for Orion. You can. I suggest you get as many good people rounded up as we can and leave immediatly." Dernam turned and left. He had to talk to the survivors, see who was willing to help put up a fight. This was war. And war is hell. So, this was all hell in a handbasket, and he felt he, they, had to do something about it. TBC Ethan Einhorn
