"Ore wa dare....?
Ore wa dare...?
Ore wa....nani?"
A darkened form approached. That face. That same awful face.
There was a brief twinge of pain as he got thrown back.
He looked up in time to see the shadowed form smirk at him.
"Ore wa...anata."
And in one brief moment, his world erupted into light.
And fell...into darkness.
There was an eerie quiet in the air surrounding him, and he realized he
hadn't been killed.
He wasn't even in the same place now.
He scrambled to his feet, looking around quickly.
An island. Big enough maybe to only build a house on. If there were any
materials.
Water in all directions as far as he could see.
A burst of fire over his shoulder caused him to spin around, and find
himself face to beak with Moltres.
The Legendary bird lowered it's head until it's gaze was even with his
own.
Strange. There was a peaceful calm in that moment.
It was quickly shattered by a light blue beam of light passing over his
head.
He broke Moltres' gaze and spun around, finding Articuno landing
opposite the firebird.
Again, the eyes of the human met the eyes of the bird.
Another peaceful calm.
The skies grew dark. A crack of thunder snapped him out of his staring.
Looking up, he saw lightning shoot down from the gathered clouds,
striking around his iland constantly.
The source was soon shown, as the third Legendary Bird made it's
presense know.
Zapdos slowly dropped from the clouds, landing at a third spot on the
island, enclosing him on three sides now.
The electrical bird stared coldly at him, sparks occasionally shooting
out from it's wings.
He turned to escape, fearing the worse, by stopped once his eyes met the
water.
Something was there. Hiding in the waves.
It's eyes lit up as it swam by, narrowing slightly.
He wasn't going to escape.
He turned back around, not wanting to be caught offguard again...
....and found himself standing in a long, flowery field.
The wind rushed by, blowing his hair slightly.
It was....quiet.
A brief flash from the corner of his eyes. He turned, seeing the tail
end of some beautiful creature flying above the clouds.
Another flash, this time from the other side.
He spun around again, in time to see something with a round, blue tail
diving into a hole in the ground.
A third flash, he spun yet again, and stared face to face with a small,
flying cat.
It crackled with energy, tilted it's head, and vanished in a shower of
small stars.
Silence filled the air yet again, and everything faded to black.
Thump.
Thump.
Thump.
He could hear his own heart pounding like a drum.
A sense of dread filled him. He couldn't move.
Couldn't run, couldn't hide.
A burst of sparkling light shone in the distance, and got increasingly
larger.
Screams.
People were screaming.
He could hear the sounds of explosions.
The light finally caught up to him, and flashed brightly.
His eyes snapped open, the stars shining in the sky above.
Spectre slowly sat up, finding solidity in the roof he had fallen asleep
on.
His heart beating fast still, he put a hand to his chest, breathing
deeply.
What had it all meant?
What were all of those strange creatures?
What had the first figure meant?
'I am you'? That...didn't make sense.
He sighed, laying back down, arms crossed behind his head.
He wouldn't get any more sleep that night.
