Brock was asleep but then quickly woke up. "What?! Oh yeah, a battle." Just then Brock's battleground came out. "This is a 2 on 2 battle." confused on which two Pokemon to choose she finally picked two. Poliwag and Jigglypuff. "O.K." said Mary. "Poliwag... GO!" The small Poliwag came out of the pokeball. Brock's face went pale. Then the kid who was fighting brock before came to watch Mary's fight. "Okay. Onix ... GO!" A huge Snake like thing. "Alright. Poliwag Watergun... Now." The Poliwag spit small drops of water on the snake until it was soaked. Mary then noticed the Onix was going to fall. "POLIWAG WATCH OUT!" The Poliwag quickly jumped to the side. "ONIX!" Brock yelled. "Onix return. Geodude go." a rock with two fists appeared and the went into to the rocks in a feeble attempt to hide. Mary looked at he kid who was watching on and saw he was smiling. "Probably happy I'm beating Brock" Mary thought. "Okay. Geodude Mega punch... Now" The Geodude popped out of it's hiding spot and wonded up and punched the small tadpole. Then it closed it's eyes and rested a little. "Okay. Poliwag Hypnosis attack now." The Geodude stared at the spinning line in the center of Poliwag and fell asleep. "Good. Poliwag bubble attack... NOW!" The Poliwag spit out bubble after bubble after bubble until the Geodude fainted. "Well you've proved yourself and you earned this." Brock threw a small gray object across the battlefield. Mary caught it and looked at it. "What is it?" she asked. "It's the bolder badge. It proves you beat me." he said. When she went to the pokecenter to get her Poliwag healed the kid who was watching her match came up to her. "Hi. I'm Jack." he said trying to hide his blushed face. "Hi. I'm Mary. I watched your match with Brock. Too bad you lost." she said "Me too. That's why I came to you. I'd like to know if you can train my pikachu and me on how to be a better trainer?" he asked. "Well, sure I guess" Mary said flattered. "Really? That's great." he said ectididly. Mary got her Pokemon and left to Mount Moon with a new Badge and a new Friend.
