He had not met anyone interesting, and found it very boring. He looked left, he then looked right. Then he spotted it. Standing on top of a tree, was a cute little Oddish. John grinned and said "This should be easy... I hope". John didn't know what to choose. He couldn't send out Dugtrio, he would be too weak against grass. "Pokeball.... GO!". His Pokeball landed in front of the tree. White light started to flash out of the Pokeball as... Jigglypuff emerged. "Jigglypuff! Your first real battle! Do.... ???..... Uhm..... (((I heard Jigglypuff knows Sing... Ill try that!))). JIGGLYPUFF! Sing Oddish to sleep!!". Jigglypuff started singing, and Oddish fell asleep. John was getting a bit dizzy from the singing too. He threw a Pokéball at Oddish. Suddenly a vine snapped out of nowhere and blocked the ball. It flew back, and hit John in the head. He was knocked out cold. While John was knocked out, Jigglypuff returned to her Pokeball, in a very scared-like type of walk. "Puff!!". When John woke up, he was inside a huge building. He looked around... He tried the first door. It was filled with bad-smelling plants! John closed the door. He checked his Pokeball belt. "Dugtrio... Pidgey... Jigglypuff. All here...". John sighed. He opened the next door he saw. Inside stood a young girl. Very pretty. She seemed to be talking with her grass Pokemon, and laughing in a very nice matter. John stared, until suddenly the girl looked at him... "Hello! Who are you? I can see by the cut of your cloth, that you are a Pokemon Trainer. I am one too! Ah, sometimes I wish I could just go outside and travel the world!... Oh, pardon me, *giggles*. Whats your name?". John smiled, somehow he felt this was a very nice person. "John" he said. "John Globe". "Ahh! Nice name! Uhm. How did you get here?". John started explaining "Well, I saw this Oddish in Celadon City, I tried to capture it, but some vine reflected the Pokeball back at me, I was hit in the head, knocked out, and now Im here...". The girl had a weird look on her face now. "Oh. That was my Oddish. My Venusaur protects all of my Pokemon from being stolen. I am sorry if you got hurt. Oh, sorry, I forgot to intoduce myself, I am Erika." John started speaking "Are you the grass Pokemon gym leader?". Erika smiled. "Oh... So youve heard of me." John smiled weakly. "Uhm... Would we still be friends if I competed for the Rainbow Badge?". Erika giggled. "Oh of course! Pokemon training is really nothing major to me! This will be fun! Lets go!". John stepped back, and so did Erika. "Go... Pidgey!" John yelled as he threw a Pokeball into the sky. "Oddish... Do your stuff!" Erika yelled as she threw Oddishes little Pokeball into the air. John: Pidgey... do your FLY attack! Johns Pidgey flew up in the air, hiding from Oddish. Erika: Oddish... leech seed! Oddish could not find Pidgey, and thew seeds everywhere, putting even more plants in the arena. John: Pidgey.... COMPLETE THE FLY ATTACK! Johns Pidgey flew down at the Oddish, hit it hard with its wings and beak. Oddish fell to the floor. Erika: Oh! ODDISH! Oddish... RETURN! Erikas Oddish flew back into the Pokeball. Erika: Time to use.... GLOOM, GO! Erika threw Glooms Pokeball, and emerged a little Oddish-like creature. Instead of grabing for his Pokedex, John grabbed for his nose. John: PiiDgey! Bwow twis smell away! I cwant bweatheee! Pidgey started flapping its wings, but it didnt do anything. Erika: Gloom.. use your sleep powder! Gloom opened up its flower like body, and little sparkles flew everywhere. The first thing that John saw, is his Pidgey hitting the ground hard..... snoring. John: Uhm... Pidgey!! WAKE UP! ..... ..... .... Pidgey... RETURN! Erika: Oh... Im sorry. This is Pokemon training, John. I am sorry I hurt your Pidgey. John: *nods* Jigglypuff... GO! Erika: Glood return, Vileplume, GO! Erike: Vileplume... use your vine whip! Very easily, without doing any attacks, Jigglypuff fell to the floor, crying its little eyes out. Erika: Oh! Sorry... Its so cute... Sorry for hurting it! SORRY! John: Oh man... This is not gonna be good. Dugtrio... GO! Erika: Vileplume.... use your Razor Leaf! Instantly, the Razor Leaf damaged Digtrio, and it fainted. Erika: OHH!!! Im SORRY!! SORRY!!! *runs up and hugs John* I am sorry. You asked for this battle, I would refuse, but gym leaders arent allowed to refuse. I am sorry. I hope you will beat my Pokemon next time. Here's my card. Erika handed John a little card, it says: | ERIKA - GYM LEADER OF GRASS POKEMON | 1-201-GYM-GRAS Erika said "I hope we meet again John, to exit, turn around, and go straight. No turns. Straight out. Please take your Pokemon to the Pokemon Center and heal them. I am sorry, I did not want to hurt them so badly.". John nodded and ran out of the gym. Erika ran out after him. "Oh. I forgot to tell you... *points to Oddish* Throw a Pokeball at it. I have told my Venusaur to let you.". John said "Oh, no, I will not. I will not take things from a Pokemon Trainer I have fairly lost to." John left the scene with Erika staring at him. She had a sort of teary eyed look on her face, she said to herself "*sigh* Oh. I hope I meet him again... He is so nice..." She caught a little glimpse of John as he started running into the direction of the Pokecenter. "I hope we meet again..."...
