Then he watched as Dernam went back to work. The lady who had stepped on the Eevee's tail got up, probably going to the rest room. The Eevee Splash had just caught continued to swear inside his pokeball. 'Maybe I should let out the Eevee, see what would happen,' Splash thought. 'But I don't want it to run away, and I have a feeling that the second I let this Eevee out of its pokeball, I am no longer going to have an Eevee.' Splash fingered the pokeball, and was about to open it up and let the Eevee come out when Dernam walked up to him and Misty. "My shift is almost over," He told them, "Then we can head over to the gym and I can battle you, Misty." "Okay," She said, "I'll be waiting." Dernam walked away, frowning. He probably was thinking that Misty's words meant something else, but Splash couldn't be sure. That or he didn't like Misty for some reason. Splash was about to throw the pokeball with his new Eevee again when the pretty lady walked past him. She had just come out of the rest room probably, but he didn't want to throw the pokeball at her, so he held onto it. Splash watched as the lady sat down. She was very pretty, beautiful even, but she seemed too old for Splash. He was only 15 after all. Plus... Splash shook his head. He didn't like thinking about things that were never going to happen, but it was hard not to. He sighed and took his last onion ring out. He removed the onoin and ate the ring.
