"Arg... This isn't my day..."
Car'tos turned around, and snapped his right hand's fingers.
"Yes, sir?" Came a Tie'nek.
"Secure the area. Don't let anymore escape. Let loose the Underlins if
you have too."
"Yes, sir. We won't let them escape this time."
Car'tos nodded, and gave him a 'They get out, you die' look.
"Yes sir. Shall I get the search party ready?"
"No, I think I'll lead this one. Just worry about the aliens."
"Good hunting, sir."
"You too"
Both Tie'neks ran to either doors in the hallway.
--------------------
"I don't like it, sir. It was too easy."
"Nonsense," Answered Bu'towa, sipping his tea, "The Dominion maybe
great fighters on the ground, but when It comes to space combat, they
lack the mental power needed to outmaneuver our craft."
"That," Interrupted Captain Benwaa from the other ship, "And they don't
use Capital ships."
Both Captains laughed.
"Yes, you have a point there, Captain."
"Anyway, Bu'towa, how many races does that make? I lost count sometime
last year during the Manga-Korokoro war."
"I would have to say...." He sipped his tea as he tried to remember,
"About 40 or so have been completely banished."
"Yes.. that sounds about right... Hold on, Im getting a message from
Battle Moon Hono'oKage..."
Bu'towa nodded, and walked toward the forward window, sipping his tea
as he watched the battle drawing to a close.
He sipped some more, as Benwaa came back on, "Bu'towa, seems we have a
problem..." His face a pale blue, "Their back..."
A chill ran up Bu'towa's back as he dropped his cup, scattering on the
ground.
-----------------
The Palace of Cities. One on every main world in the Storm. Three
square miles in width, half the lenth of a D'ahmaren Super Cruiser.
45,000 rooms; 10,000 of which are used for computers, scanner
equipment, star charts and the like. Four, quarter-mile docking bays
capable of launching 200 I'Bos fighters each if needed. Itself, the
Palace is a piece of art.
"We men ready?"
"Yes sir!" Answered four of the five men group.
"Good, now move out. We have to find them before they escape."
The Underlins got up from all six, and walked down to the main hanger
bay. Car'tos' Underlin pressed a button, and the door slid open half
way. The five stepped out, and run into the city streets.
They had forgotten what time it was, and were surprised it was dark.
"Hmm, Night search.. That'll hard to do with Underlins... Men! To the
I'Bos!"
"MST Engines ready, Plasmatic damping field on. You're ready to launch,
Fleet Commander." The ion from engine flashed light blue, then a bright
white, as the craft's repulsorlifts lifted it into the air.
The small craft flashed it headlights to warn of it's movement within
the hanger. The Tie'nek landing guy raised his arms, and the five I'Bos
flew out. The five Fighters flew out into the night sky, leaving an ion
light trial that lit up the city.
------------------
"What do you mean? We just dumped all our energy into the Gun. We need
atleast another 5 minutes to recharge, sir."
"Damnit!" Bu'towa slammed his fist on the control panel. He flicked a
switch, and the Tie'nek Engineer was replaced with that of Captain
Benwaa on the screen in front of him.
"I still need seven minutes, Bu'towa. We could always radio in..."
"We could, but it'll take the same time to get there as if we would
Jump."
"But sir," Came someone from behind Benwaa, "Even if we send it now,
it'll still get there quicker. After we jump back into Sub-Space, it
takes time to send and code in."
"He's got a point..." Bu'towa turned around, and waved his right hand
to an officer at the helm, "Send a message to Base Command... Two
Battle Moons lost to unknown enemy. Four I'Bos escaped out of 4250.
Zero Capital ships out of 40 made it out..."
Bu'towa sat down, and looked at the file on his small screen.
"Sector four four two one," He continued, "Last known enemy there..."
He shuddered as the words barely came out of his mouth, "The last enemy
of that area, the Lugia."
----------------------
"Theres the Shift. Gimme a scan on where it goes."
"Yes, sir." The soft, blue glow of the ChoronoShift lit up the bog
around them. The two-man crew got near the ebb, and placed a small,
tube-like thing in the Shift. Car'tos walked up to it, and just stared
at it.
"All the worlds I have gone to... All the Times I have seen... All the
races I have killed... And why can't I leave that one Human alone?"
"Sir, Shift goes to the Human System, normal Time frame."
"Any idea what area?"
"Um.. take a look, sir."
The Tie'nek got up, and held a small, flat TV-like screen to Car'tos.
"I seen that area before...." His Comm clicked.
"Fleet Commander here, what's up?"
"Sir! We nee... lp! Two Ba... ns have bee.... royed! Enemy h...
onfermed .... Lugia! Making ... Shields gon... attiers died... COMING
IN!!!" The Comm crackled, and went dead silent.
"Did... did he say the Lugia..?" One Tie'nek sweatdripped.
"Can't be... after that battle, both side were left in ruins...We were
lucky to have survived this long."
"Sir, if did it, I'm sure they could."
"Great Maker! Warn Ros'co..." There was some rustling in the bushes.
Everyone drew their pikes, and slowly walked up to the noise...
A loud deafening, screech was heard, as a Unihorn leapt out, and rammed
his head into the chest of one of the Tie'neks; puncturing him with his
horn. The animal swung his head wildly, and he scratched the Tie'nek's
body with his arms. The other two Tie'neks stabbed their pikes into the
beast, as Car'tos jumped up, and landed on the Unihorn's back; with his
weapon coming down right through the beast's neck. It made a low
humming type sound, and limped over, knocking Car'tos off. He rolled,
and landed near his fallen friend.
One of the other Tie'neks ran to his buddy, picked him up, and put his
wings over the body; covering him. "Goro'bo... brother..."
The others lowered their heads in respect. He walked over to the Shift,
and stuck his arms holding the Tie'nek in. Flashes of red and white
could be seen around the tempera of the ebb. Car'tos remembered
something, and picked up his comm. "Ros'co, we have a problem."
"I know, the Lugia is coming... I have informed the Fleet. From the
approach vector of their last attack, they're coming to our system.
Ships have gathered near the Tie'nek Belt, awaiting your orders."
"Yes, sir... but I have to stop by somewhere, first..."
"I know what you must do, good luck, old friend... we have 4 hours till
the attack, hurry."
"Yes, sir."
He ran to his ship, lifted up the canopy, and went in flipping a few
switches on his way down to sit. Canopy closed, he punched in the MST
Jump Engine, and took off. The others on the ground waved to him, as
his I'Bos flew into the night sky. He checked his belt, to see if he
hadn't forgotten anything.
The space around him was empty this time at night. Only lights were
that of his HUD, and a few ships here and there. The Fleet were on
their way from all over the Galaxy. He pasted into the day part of
Tie'nek, and saw some D'ahmaren Craft, a few Minion Destroyers, and one
Battle Moon. Over some four hundred ships on the horizon, preparing for
the up coming battle with the unknown enemy known only as the Lugia.
Car'tos shook his head, and passed a few incoming I'Bos and a Minion
Destroyer. His I'Bos beeped, signaling the jump point. He nodded, and
punched in.
The ship stopped, and everything around him seem to move into forever.
The ways of HyperSpace travel was still something Car'tos knew little
to nothing about. He didn't know how or what made the ship stop in
time, seem to stretch into the direction it was facing, and fly across
the cosmos at near the speed of light. Whatever it was, Car'tos didn't
care. He just wants to get to point B from point A.
The sky was just filled with white star lines. After about an hour of
this, the HUD beeped. He flicked a red button, and the star lines went
back to just specks in the sky. Ahead of him, the lush, green/blue
world of Earth.
"Such a lovely world..."
He clicked his helmet on, and strapped in to enter the atmosphere.
The fire on the window died down, as the light blue alien sky looked
rather pleasing in Car'tos' eyes. He shook his head, and looked for a
place to land.
"The bottle... I'Bos, scan."
"Yes, sir." Answered the Mac-like voice.
He looked at his HUD, and schematics of the bottle rotated in a wire-
frame type nonskined polygon.
"Twelve lifeforms. Ten Humans. One match to target. Two unknown.
"Most be Pokémon... I still need more time... I'Bos, fly around the
city."
"Yes, sir."
The little battle-worn fighter flew over the city. Car'tos had no
destintion, he just needed time to think. "The Fleet'll be at Tie'nek
and D'ahmar in about some 20 mintues... Bu'towa should have landed by
now, and should be with the Supreme War Council." Car'tos looked around
the city somemore, and hovered over the city's PokeCenter.
"Computer, detach from fighter..." As Car'tos said that, one of his
Pokeballs vanished in a red ray to the PokeCenter below, "..enter
Pokeball, Galvatron."
"Yes, sir." From the back of the I'Bos, a small, black, round orb broke
away from the ship's MST Engine. Two screws unscrewed itself under what
looked like an eye. Two magnets flew at it from the MST, and attached
themself to the side of the orb.
The ship may no longer have a NAV Com, but it kept the starcharts for
atleast two more Hyper Space jumps. The Magnemite moved to the cockpit,
and the window opened up. Car'tos zapped him into a Blue Tie'nek
Pokeball.
"Galvatron... You have been with my craft from the begining. I'll miss
you, my friend. But, now you have a new mission. You will watch over
the clone, as the clone will watch over the Human". A buzz came from
ball as an answer.
"Good. I'll see you again."
Car'tos lowered his head in deep thought, as he waited for the time to
say his final goodbye.
