>"Yes, sir. We won't let them escape this time."
Oddly enough, no-one had fixed to door yet. A couple of the prisoners
had gone to find more food, but most were making their shiny new
dwellings comfortable.
>Car'tos nodded, and gave him a 'They get out, you die' look.
>"Yes sir. Shall I get the search party ready?"
>"No, I think I'll lead this one. Just worry about the aliens."
Five Moluvians waved to the pair in the doorway.
>"Good hunting, sir."
>"You too"

Used to the tall, spire-like starscrapers of Alkyr, Julian was
impressed by his spacious new surroundings. Strangely enough, though
his brass-coloured armour stood out from the Tie'nek, with the two
vile HUMANS tagging around behind Car'tos, they assumed Julian to be
one of their allies. He even drew the odd salute.
"They're a friendly sort," thought Julian. "Schroeder would like it
here." He walked through a corridor into the streets of what he
thought was the capital city. Again, the spaciousness, the vast void
of the dark night sky, something almost never visible on Alkyr took
him by suprise. It had been too long since he'd had a chance to fly
over a city, slits in his armour opened up to allow his wings room to
unfurl.
----------
>"We men ready?"
>"Yes sir!" Answered four of the five men group.
>"Good, now move out. We have to find them before they escape."
>The Underlins got up from all six, and walked down to the main hanger
>bay. Car'tos' Underlin pressed a button, and the door slid open half

>They had forgotten what time it was, and were surprised it was dark.
>"Hmm, Night search.. That'll hard to do with Underlins... Men! To the
>I'Bos!"
Seven lights shot out from the now-distant Palace of Cities. Faint
wisps of exhaust particles trailed out from behind the I'Bos, giving
them the appearance of shooting stars against the dark night sky.
Julian lay sprawled out on the roof of a bulding, gazing out into the
blackness of space. No-one traveled by good old-fashioned ramscoop
engines anymore, preferring the sometimes viciously unstable Star
Lanes to get from point A to point B. Only once had Julian experienced
space travel with his family, on their small cutter, drifting on the
solar wind.
"They'll be looking for me," he said to no-one in particular. "With
any luck they'll find me, I'm lost."
----------
Theore Jann and his two-strong honour guard sat out in the plains,
watching the night sky. The Shattered Dreams, its damaged hull still
sparkling in the light of the moon, had been surrounded by the alien
behomoth creatures and light cavalry.
"We could take it back, I suppose."
"Then they'll send more stuff. We should wait."
"Then they'll find us."
Theore in teruppted the argument "We'll let them find us. It wouldn't
be such a bad idea, they'll put us with the rest of the colonists.
Besides, we can't do much out here, we can't exactly storm the city."
With that in mind, the trio began screaming "NECKTIES AND THE
ONIONS!!!" in the hope of attracting attention.
