Shard surveyed the ruins of the building. Well, what ruins of it he could see.
He'd see what he coudl find until someone took it upon themselves to rescue
him. Which should be as soon as...
"AAAAAAAAAAAUUUUGGGHHH! I'M GONNA BE STUCK HERE UNTIL OFFICER JENNY COMES TO
HAUL ME OFF FOR A BOMB I DIDN'T PLANT!" screamed Shard to no one in
particular. "Some days," he added, in a quiet mumble, "are complete Muk
squat."
He managed to find a few pokeballs that were trapped in the wreckage with him,
and sent them to the boss, as well as a distress transmission. Knowing the
boss, however, Shard would probably die of starvation before he was noticed.
Then, to his surprise, the shadowy visage of Giovanni appeared before him.
"We don't have the spare resources to save one person! I thought you were
trained to get out yourself!" snapped Giovanni, before dissapeaering from
Shard's view. "Whatta grouch..." mumbled Shard.
Suddenly, Shard heard sirens approached, and a massive Machamp lifted the
rummble from around Shard. There, he could see Jenny and Joy.
"Um, I can die here if you'd like me to... I was gonna anyways..." said Shard,
not sure of any way to weasel out of this. Both stared at him quizically,
until Shar remembered he wasn't wearing his Rocket outfit.
"So you got dumped a few times tonight," said Jenny mechanically, making a
note.
"Well, I can walk," said Shard, "so I'll get out of the way so you can help the
real victims." Jenny and Joy had no time to respond before Shard vanished in a
gust of wind and a flap of Aerodactyl wings.
"Smirker, drop me," instructed Shard. "Me smirker no can do that," answered
the Aerodactyl through the translator Shard had "borrowed" for it from his
Clefairy. "Pain Dance would..." "When him Pian Dance can fly, him Pain Dance
can drop you Shard."
Shard just sighed, and fell asleep. It was gonna be a long trip to Celadon
otherwise.
