It's all better now, except...] The catapult's rope snapped, and Puffers was launched straight at the Veridian City Pokecenter. He hit the peak of his arc and started back down, then abruptly stopped. A couple seconds passed as Zagro's Jigglypuff and Clefairy realized that it wasn't the ground that stopped him. Fuzz glared at Zagro, who was riding an unfamiliar Spearow. "No fair catching him! You're supposed to be dead!" Zagro put his Jigglypuff back in his Pokeball. "It's just us two now, Fuzz. That, and Zargo's handy Spearow." The Clefairy growled. "Call me Outsider, for I am. 'Normal' Clefairys are too sappy to enjoy my homicidal talents to their fullest. As you probably haven't guessed, being a human (and a pathetic one at that), my single drive is to rid the world of the human race. Trainer... by... trainer. And fools like you..." the Clefairy pulls a gun out of a hidden pouch. "...make my job so much easier." Zagro grinned and pulled out his Wigglypistol, and prepared to BS like never before. "Ahahaha!! Foolish Clefairy! I anticipated your every move! With my telepathy, I sensed your every move... there are six mini-Wigglytuffs in this gun, bred just for this purpose. Shoot me and I'll be wounded, but realize that I HAVE THE POWER TO DESTROY YOU!!!!! HA! HAHAHA!!" He added an extra "HA!" just for good measure. "Then how'd I get your Jigglypuff so easily?" "So I could trick you into dropping your guard! The very same reason you didn't shoot me when we first met! ... HA!" "At the time, I thought you had a brain. I apologize for the confusion." "I have more brains than an Alakazam, I merely tricked you with a perfect performance! I have an IQ of Five Hundred! Thousand! BWAHAHA!" "Yeah, give or take a million..." The Clefairy fired, and so did Zagro. The Clefairy missed and Zagro remembered that he didn't have any bullets. --- Off elsewhere, Zargo got hit by the stray bullet. And off even elsewherer, the remaining Pewter City Police Force Members closed in on Zagro, who'd been spotted nearby... --- The Clefairy aimed and fired again. The shot hit Zagro in the leg. He was jolted out of the Spearow's grip. Landing, he pulled out all of his 6 Pokeballs. "Puffers, Fuzz, Pikachu, Caterpie, Goddish, Weedle, go!" Only Puffers appeared. Zagro blinked. "Oh yeah, the others are at the Pokecenter..." and then he lost consciousness. Outsider pointed his gun at the Jigglypuff. "I have no quarrel with you. Leave now or be killed." Puffers stood still. Outsider squeezed the trigger. "I've always wanted to see a deflated Jigglypuff." The gun went off. Puffers did a flip, dodging the bullet with insane speed, and dove towards Outsider. Outsider flipped out of the way and shot at him. But Puffers was bouncing around as only a pissed balloon could, and was impossible to hit. Outsider checked... only one bullet left. And Zagro was still breathing. But he couldn't stay still long enough to aim properly! The policeman spotted Zagro. "Halt! This is the ARRRGH" and then his head was shot through. Outsider grinned at Puffers. "I've gotta jet now, the other cops'll be here any second. But know you this, for I am far from alone in my quest. The Brotherhood of the Comet will succeed in the end. Our ranks are huge... no army can match us! We will be back... for everybody!" The Clefairy teleported out. Puffers had no time to lose. He grabbed Zagro and pulled him into the river, and floated off, keeping Zagro above water. --
