"Don't you remember, Rilli? I want us to walk to the Pidgeot Express in Fuschia
right now so we can buy tickets! That way we have a head start tomorrow morning."
Robert holds Rilli's hand and helps her off the chair.
Mithril-rama pouts, "Walking this late at night? But I'm tired..."
"Don't think of it as walking. Think of it as a romantic stroll through the
countryside!" Robert smiles.
"All right. I'll stay up a while longer." Mithril-rama yawns and rubs her eyes,
trying to wash away her tiredness.
Robert glances around the room, and his eyes get watery, "It's been fun, everyone...
But it's time we part ways. I have many issues to resolve before I can face Blaine
again. I hope we meet again." Robert reaches behind his back, "They say goodbyes
should be like pulling off a bandage... So... Good bye!" Robert turns and runs out
of Lara's house.
Mithril-rama sweatdrops at Robert's behavior and curtsies, "Good Night!" She chases
after her boyfriend. The chase doesn't last very long, since Robert is already
panting deeply a few yards away from Lara's house. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah... Just... shouldn't... run..." Robert places his arm around Rilli's shoulder
and chuckles, "You're always supporting me - in more ways than one!" He looks up at
the crescent moon in the sky, and counts the stars as he walks alongside his
girlfriend. They had limited amounts of privacy until now, but now they feel truly
together and alone once again. "Rilli?"
"Yes?" The young black-haired girl looks up, her bright violet eyes reflecting the
stary sky.
Robert lowers his arm from her shoulder to the small of her back, "These last few
days in the Laramie Ranch... I might have seemed a little demanding at times. You
know, asking you to help me with the mystery about the missing Pokemon and the
period before the race where I kept insisting you participate. I'd just like to say
that I'm sorry about that."
Mithril-rama smiles at Robert's apology, "You don't need to apologize. You're not
forcing me to do anything."
"Sometimes I feel like I am." Robert can't face Rilli, so he faces the ground,
instead, "It's this weird feeling that you would've given up and retired your quest
to learn more about Pokemon a long time ago if you hadn't met me. But then, I stop
to think about it, and I have a feeling that I would've given up my quest to be a
Pokemon master if I hadn't met you. But then... does that mean that we are both
acting against are will in order to keep each other happy?"
Rilli is taken aback at first by Robert's deep thinking, used to his usual joking
tone, "I don't know what to say. But if we are doing it just to keep each other
happy... and it's working... why would we want to give up now?"
"I don't know." Robert's mind pauses to think, while his body cotinues to walk
towards Fuschia City, "Maybe because I don't want to feel like some dominant brute
telling you what to do, when to do it, and how to do it."
Mithril-rama shakes her head ever so slightly, "You're not like that, Robert. You
don't tell me what to do, you just suggest some ideas. Plus, if it weren't for your
suggestions, I'm sure I'd never get anything done. I'm too lazy." Rilli sighs,
"Maybe it was a bad idea to choose me as your teacher. I hardly ever say anything,
and... well..."
"You taught some things tonight." Robert looks at Rilli's face once again, "And even
when you're not teaching me Electabuzz's attacks or what a Parasect is, you are
teaching me other, more important things."
Mithril-rama blinks, removing some wetness from her eyes, "What important things?"
"I think one word covers it all. Love." Robert stops walking and leans forward,
placing his lips on Mithril-rama's own. Rilli returns the passionate kiss, wrapping
her arms around Robert's back in a loving embrace.
* One hour later. (*No*, this is not a "fade to black" scene switch. :-P) *
A young couple enters the Fuschia City Pidgeot Express offices, holding hands. The
tall boy has messy black hair and is wearing a black shirt and blue jeans. The short
girl with straight black hair is wearing a lavender dress and a white vest. They
walk up to the main desk in the room. The teenage boy speaks to the woman behind the
desk, "We need two tickets to go to Viridian City tomorrow morning around noon.
Also, do you know any place we could stay tonight?"
The woman nods, places two tickets on the table, and says, "That'll be 1000
pokebucks, please. There is hall full of bedrooms available for people who buy
tickets and are leaving tomorrow. That means you two love Pidgeys."
Once Robert and Rilli combine their funds, they manage to pay the 1000 pokebucks.
They hold on to their tickets and head down the corriders of the Pokemon-oriented
airport. Once they find the room reserved for the holders of their tickets, they
head inside and raid the bed as soon as possible. That night, the happy couple has
no trouble falling asleep.
