Who was a lucky bastard, because Trooper blasted up from the ground
under the Onix, driving it's horn into the ceiling. God bless Dig. Mr.
Mime decided it was time for more payback, and confused the thing, which
made him twist about and smack itself with it's tail. Gyarados moved to
finish, as she grabbed it behind the head in her mouth and slammed it
down on the floor, over and over. Luke took the opertunity, and his
Pokéball rolled a bit, then stopped.
Dernam took the silent time to investigate the hole that formed. The
Onix had come down, then horizontally, to avoid a pool of water in the
wall. A red flash catches Dernam's eye, and he hurls a spare ball at
it. Dernam quickly reaches in to catch it before it hits bottom, and
hold his Pokédex to it.
"Ack! That's a water type! I wanna water type!"
"Yeah, right, Splash. I caught him, he's mine. Get something
tradable, and we'll talk, M'kay?" Splash backs down and mumbles
something about Lavender. All recall Pokémon.
Dernam continues to search the hole, and bonks his head on something.
Looking right, he sees to large, jutting rock structures, holding a
glimmering object. 6, awakened by the commotion, crawls out of the
warmth of Dernam's back-pack mounted sleeping bag, looks woth hopeful
eyes at it.
"No, 6, this...is Nidorino's." Dernam takes out the pickaxe he
purchased in Cerulean, and hacks away at the rock-like extensions that
hold the object in place. After several tense minutes, the rocks fall
out of place, and the Moon Stone tumbles to the grounds. Dernam picks
it up and holds it in the dim light. It....is odd.
While most normal Moon Stone is grey-silver, and shines, this appears
to be marbled, swirling, blending blu and grey, with more luster and
sparkle. Well, Stone is Stone, andDernam places it in his backpack, for
later. He investigates the rocks, too. Kabutops claws. Might as
well.....he pockets them too. All are content and happy.
Phil cringes in pain. "Ack! Someone is happy!"
Splash, Luke, and Dernam pack up from the latest endevour, wary of any
approaching Onix. Gratefully, none come. 6 is ecspecially on edge.
However, all is not right here. Splash thinks he hears stuff coming
from the forest below Mt. Moon. Dernam and Luke concentrate on the
voices that seem to eminate from ahead. The Eord brothers shush Splash,
and force him to listen to the sounds ahead. Dernam nearly falls
through a hole, apparently made by the rumbling of the Onix. Close
call. Anywho.....
The impending voices seemed hostile, and orders seemed to fly. The
rag-tag trio, stealthily slinked along towards the further end, all
being quite. Dernam handed his survival boot knife to Luke, and himself
drew his new 9 mm(thank you, 6, thank YOU!), and Splash....felt left
out. Dernam made him feel better by handing him a sai. Sure, he
wouldn't know how to use it properly, but what the hell?
A sudden turn of the corner revealed several Rockets (Derman thought
these Rocket guys were getting REALLY annoying) surrounding an even
raggeder looking bunch, including a guy that looked unconsious. All
made ready their weapons, although Dernam doubted they would need them,
and got Pokéballs ready. Luke with Trooper, Splash with Mr. Mime, and
Dernam had Gyarados and Scyther. Apparently the Rockets were oblivious
to them, although one of the surrounded, a girl, had eyes as wide as
saucers.
"It's go-time." DErnam said to himself.
TBC?......

Sorry last time, Dryad, didn't see it, was tired and frustrated, got 20
minutes of work wiped out, etc. etc. Well, I'm here now, like it or
not.
