From: Lucrecia84 <lucrecia84@aol.com> Subject: [PW!] Enter Stellara (I couldn't think of a better title!!!) Date: Saturday, October 02, 1999 5:19 PM Note: This part happens a few years before the 'present' in the Poké Wars… Also, the three trainers featured in this fic shouldn't bear any resemblance to any Poké Wars characters, living, dead, or other. There was a very old forest a few miles from Cerulean City. Few people ever went there because it was so out of the way, and so far from the city. Because of this, several species of Pokémon thrived there. Pidgey and Pidgeotto were a common site flying through the sky. Goldeen, Krabby, Shellder, and Psyduck could be found in the river running through the forest. All sorts of Bug and Plant types were in the bushes and trees. One of the hardest Pokémon to find were the Abra and Kadabra. They would Teleport away if they sensed a human nearby. Very few people knew they were there, and even fewer had ever seen one in that area. Deep in the forest, in a hollowed out tree, three cute baby Abra lay curled up inside, sleeping of course. A larger Abra and a Kadabra were outside the tree. The Abra was sleeping on a rock in a ray of sunlight coming in through the tops of the trees. The Kadabra didn't look so relaxed, though. It was pacing around, obviously very upset about something. <What's wrong, Mom?> asked the Abra on the rock. <Your father still hasn't come home.> she said. <I've tried to contact him for the past hour.> The Abra stretched and yawned. <Maybe he's out of range.> <Maybe.> said the Kadabra. <I would go look for him, but I can't leave you and the others here by yourself.> <I can watch them.> said the Abra, sitting up on the rock. The Kadabra smiled. <I'm afraid you wouldn't be very good at defending them if something were to attack. You know that all Abra can do is Teleport. And I need to stay here and defend your siblings because they're too young to even do that.> <How about I go look for Dad?> suggested the Abra. <I don't want to risk something happening to you, either.> she said. <Anyway, for all I know, he's out getting something big to surprise us all.> <That's probably it.> said the Abra. An hour later, the mother Kadabra was close to panicking. <He's never been gone this long!> she said. <He might be hurt somewhere.> <Can't you heal yourselves?> asked the Abra. <Yes, but what if he fainted?> she said. <Oh, this is very bad…> "Aaabraaa!" came a tiny voice from inside the tree. Three small faces peeked out, their eyes closed, as usual. "Abra!" said one, trying to climb out of the tree. <No, you stay inside.> said the mother, using her psychic powers to push them back in. <Want to come out.> said one. <Where dad?> said the second. <Hungwy.> said the third. Before she could say anything, the Kadabra heard a branch crack, and voices! She whirled around, and saw two figures moving through the forest. Human figures! She had been so distracted that she hadn't sensed them! "Abra!" said one of the baby Abra loudly. They all crawled out of the tree. "Abra! Abra!" <Be quiet, get back in!> said the Kadabra urgently, again putting them back in. <What's wrong?> asked the Abra on the rock. <Humans. Very close.> said the Kadabra. <What a human?> asked one of the baby Abra, still trying to crawl out of tree. <This just had to happen at the same time as six hours these guys are up.> said the Kadabra. <Be quiet! You have to hide!> "Hey!" shouted a voice. "There's something over here!" The Kadabra turned to see a human boy, probably in his teens with blonde hair. The Abra on the rock had Teleported. Two other humans came, another guy and a girl. They all had Poké Balls on their belts. "It's a Kadabra!" said the girl. "And some Abra!" "Wow, two Kadabra in one day." Said the second guy. "I'll catch it!" said the first boy. "Go, Scyther! Use Slash!" He threw a Poké Ball, and the mantis/lizard-like Pokémon appeared, slashing the air. "Kada!" said the Kadabra in alarm. She used Reflect, putting up a barrier between her and the Scyther. "SCCCYYYYTHEERR!" screamed the Scyther, slashing at the barrier. "Use Swords Dance!" "Abra!" cried out a baby Abra in fear. "Kadabra!" said the Kadabra, using Psybeam on the Scyther. It was thrown back. "Scyther, Leer Attack!" "SCCYYYTHE!" it screamed again, its eyes glowing, lowering Kadabra's defense. The barrier had fallen, and Scyther flew at Kadabra. "Slash attack!" said the guy. "SCCCYYYYTHER!" it slashed the Kadabra before it could Teleport, sending it crashing into the rock the Abra had been on. She tried to use Recover, but didn't have enough strength. She collapsed. "Yeah!" said the guy. He threw an Ultra Ball at the Kadabra, and it was pulled in. The ball rocked a few times, and was still. "Wow, you caught it." Said the girl. "What about the Abra?" "We'll get them, too." Said the second guy. "They should be easy to get." He walked over towards the tree where the baby Abra cowered in terror. He suddenly stopped as the bigger Abra Teleported in front of him. "Abra Abra!" it said angrily. "It doesn't want us to take the Abra." Said the first guy. "Scyther, get it!" "Ab?!" said the Abra as the Scyther lunged for it. It wanted to Teleport away, but it wanted to protect its siblings! It jumped over to the rock, and stood in front of it. The Scyther flew at it, but just before it reached the Abra, it Teleported, and the Scyther slammed into the rock! "Scyther, return!" said the guy. "Beaten by an Abra…" "My turn!" said the first guy. "Go, Gastly!" "Gastly!" said the Ghost Pokémon. "Use Hypnosis!" "Isn't it already asleep?" said the girl. "Looks awake to me." Said the guy. Blue waves came from the Gastly, and hit the Abra. It tried to stay awake but passed out. The guy caught it with an Ultra Ball. "Now for the others." He said. "Oh, can I have those?" asked the girl. "Please?" She walked over to the tree. The baby Abra were as far inside it as they could go. She reached in, and pulled out two. "How cute!" she said. "Abra!" shouted one, trying to get away. "Is that all?" asked the guy. She looked inside the hollow, but didn't notice the last Abra hiding in the back. "Yeah, that's it. Wow, we got some great Pokémon!" "Let's get back to Cerulean City to tell the others!" They all left. The baby Abra peeked out of the tree. Everyone was gone, even some Pokémon who were usually around, but were scared away by the battle. The Abra crawled out of the tree and onto the grass. "Abra?" it said quietly. It knew something bad had happened. Its mother and siblings had been very frightened, and now they were gone. Those weird things had hurt its mother, and taken away her family. What had she called them? <Humans…> said the Abra, its eyes glowing red. Tell me what you think! =) They next fic will take place in the present… Ivyna J. Spyder My Pokémon and Beast Wars Page http://jump.to/Ivyna
