He >just couldn't wait until Maria could see what she had gotten herself into >this time.... > But at that time, Maria still couldn't see anything. She settled her hands behind her head. "Death sure is dull." There was nothing to do when you were dead. And despite being dead, she was beginning to feel sore from being crunched in such a tight way for so long. At least that awful music of the dead had finally stopped. She sighed and watched the darkness. It was so hot in there, and she was thirsty. A glimmer of blue light suddenly appeared in the corner of her vision. Maria turned and stared at it. Finally, something was happening. The blue light grew brighter and larger. Then it took form. Maria blinked. She was no longer alone in the darkness. Surrounded by a shimmering blue aura was a young man around her own age with blue hair and green eyes. "James?" No, it wasn't James. There was a strong resemblance, but she could tell it wasn't him. But she felt as though she'd met him somewhere before. "Who are you?" The boy looked over, noticing her for the first time. "I don't know. Are you my mother?" Maria just stared dumbfounded. Something about him reminded her of a lost baby bird from a story she'd read when she was little. "No, I'm Maria. Are you dead too?" "Umm....I don't know. Not yet, I think." "Are you looking for your mother?" Poor guy didn't even know he was dead. Maybe his mother was dead too... "I guess.....I'm not sure. I feel like I'm missing a few things...I can't remember." He frowned. "I wouldn't worry about it. There's nothing we can do about it now." "I'm not dead yet." "Are you sure?" Maria folded her arms. "I can feel it. Can't you?" "I don't feel anything." Seth crossed his legs. "You're lying. You can't lie to me." Maria pouted and looked away. "Whatever. Why are you here bothering me anyway? Go away, I'm sure there's more than one place to be dead in. This is my space." Seth shook his head. "You're not dead. And you're the one holding me here." "I'm not holding you anywhere!" "You're lying again.....I don't get you. Why are you keeping me here if you don't want me around?" Seth gave her a hard stare. Maria looked up and did a quicktake. She recognized those eyes. She tilted her head slightly. "You...? You're him, aren't you?" Seth blinked. "Who?" "You tell me..." Eyes wide, she reached out to him. But before her fingertips met him, he suddenly bowed his head sharply with a gasp. Maria drew back as if she'd been bitten. "What's wrong?" Seth's only reply was to move his head from side to side with a low groan. Then the blue light around him shimmered, and he faded away. "NO!" Maria jumped forward as far as she could. Her hands met only hard surface of the inside of the giant pokeball. She closed her eyes in despair. "Don't leave me alone..." What followed was nothing but silence as the pokeball continued rolling along.
