Today was the day to start her pokemon journey and she was sleeping in. "Char char!" Charmander said. "Mmmph." Shay said under her pillow. "CHAR!" Charmander said jumping even harder. Shay finally got up and went downstairs for breakfast. She handed Charmander a bowl of cereal as Charmander sat down and began crunching noisily. Shay ate quickly realizing what day it was and before Charmander had even halfway finished his cereal was upstairs getting ready. She threw bunches of pokeballs in her backpack as well as some potions and antidotes. She grabbed her tennis shoes and went back downstairs. Finding Charmander snooping around the kitchen looking for his favorite snack. "C'mon Charmander we gotta go. Besides I put your treats in my bag." Shay said. "Char?" Charmander said looking at her with big puppy eyes. "You can have one later. At the rate you've been eating these things you'll be to chubby to fight the wild Pokemon." Shay said laughing. "Char." Charmander said. "C'mon Charmander. Let's go catch some Pokemon." -------------------------------------------------------- As they walked deep into the meadow behind pallet town Shay looked around hoping to see a Pokemon. "Ka." she heard. A bright yellow Pikachu came bounding through the meadow. "A Pikachu!" Shay said. "Charmander go get it!" "Char!" Charmander said jumping into battle. "Pi?'' Pikachu said looking up at Charmander. "Charmander scratch attack!" Shay said. "Char!" Charmander said launching himself at the Pikachu. He swiped Pikachu with his claws straight across his forehead. "Kaaaa chu!" Pikachu said hocking Charmander. "Char!" Charmander said dazed. "Charmander fire spin!" Shay said. ''Chaar!" Charmander said blowing flames that wrapped themselves around Pikachu. When the flames died down Pikachu was coal black. "Pokeball go!" Shayla said throwing a Pokeball. The Pokeball hit Pikachu and Pikachu turned into a bright red energy. He was sucked into the Pokeball and the Pokeball wiggled back and forth. It stopped then, letting Shay know the Pikachu was captured. "Yeah! We did it!" Shay cheered. ''Char char." Charmander said smiling.
