Date: Thursday, October 21, 1999 4:05 AM The group stood in the Pokemon Center around Julia, admiring the new Staryu. "Amazing..." Damian said. The others apparently agreed. No one had ever seen any Pokemon sacrifice like that before... yet... Lapras... Julia smiled and stood up. "I think we're okay now. Let's get moving to Seafoam, ok?" Purgatory nodded, and so did the rest of the group. Everyone packed up their bags, healed their Pokemon, and otherwise prepared. Jon found himself holding Kadabra's Pokeball. Sarah Jane walked over. "I was just thinking... back in Lavendar or somewhere we spoke about evolving our Kadabras. What do you say we do it now?" Jon smiled. "Sure... I think mine's at a high enough level...although I rarely battle with it. I'll give it a try." The two stepped over to the trading center. Jon stood on one side, and popped his Kadabra's Pokeball in. Sarah Jane did the same on the opposite side. "You may have the honors!" Jon said, smiling. Sarah Jane pushed the TRADE button. The two watched as the Pokemon swapped places, and the Pokeballs as they popped back out. "They need to evolve now... I bet they need to be out then..." Jon said. Sarah Jane picked up the Pokeball on her side. "Go! Kadabra!" Jon did the same with Sigfreid's Pokeball. "I choose you! Sigfried!" The two trainers stepped back as the Pokemon came out. Side by side, they began to glow... and grow bigger... The other trainers noticed the bright lights and began to watch. The growing stopped in a new form, and the glow ceased. Two slightly confused Alakazams were left. The two trainers each knelt to their respective Pokemon. "Congrats, Alakazam. You've come a long way since I caught you in Cerulean." Jon patted his Alakazam... which really was Sarah Jane's but was the one he raised... at least he thought... Jon noticed that Sarah Jane was talking to Sigfreid in her own telekinetic way. She patted its head also, then stood up. "Ready to come back?" she asked it aloud. The psi nodded. Once again, Jon and Sarah Jane stepped up to the trading machine. Back came the Alakazams. Jon and Sarah Jane both smiled. That was definitely an interesting evolving experience. They rejoined the group, and Sarah Jane fed her Aerodactyl again. Julia was busy with her new Staryu. "Are we all here?" Felix asked. He was rewarded with 9 "Yes!"'s. The 10 trainers walked through the door and hopped down over a ledge onto Fuschia's beach. Amid Swimmers they walked, to the water's edge. "Water? We need transport, then. Go...Lapras!" Jon yelled. Unfortunately, he ended up with a very ticked off Kabutops. Damian spoke. "Lapras is gone, Jon." Jon was sheepish. "Yeah..." "Uhm, I hate to be a damper, but we have to get across here somehow..." Kirsty reminded everyone.
