From: Lewis19 <ljlovhaug@mail.coolbits.nu> Subject: [PW!] Waiting outside the gym Date: Sunday, October 03, 1999 11:35 AM Last time, our hero, Lewis, arrived in the Viridian Forest in hopes of finding Icy, the leader of the the unofficial Bug type Gym, so Icy could help Lewis's Weedle learn psybeam, an attack that Weedles aren't supposed to learn. He has stumbled upon an egg, and checked his pokedex on it. It said that a normal-type Pokémon was inside, so Lewis ruled out his hopes for a Togepi. He was just about to enter the gym, unfortunately... "It's locked!" Lewis shouts, holding the egg in his hands. Lewis actually wasn't very surprised. It was already 11:00 PM, so Icy had probably already gone to bed. Lewis unfortunately, had not expected this. He rolled out a sleeping bag, and decided to get some rest. About an hour after he had gotten some sleep, he awoke to see a boy kicking something. Lewis snuck over and saw what was kicked onto the road: a Charmander! The boy who had done this pulled out a water gun. "You Charmanders are supposed to be strong! Well, there's no place in the world for a weak Charmander." the boy said, pumping the water gun. The boy was about to fire when Lewis lunged at the Charmander, covering it and protecting it from the water as it hit Lewis. Lewis got up and said, "Just what the heck do you think you're doing?" "Getting rid of a weak Pokémon. Now step aside." the trainer said. "All Pokémon are strong! Why are you gonna kill it!" Lewis shouts. "Pokémon are only good for making money! If it's a problem wit you, I'll battle you!" the dumb trainer said. Lewis pulled out a pokéball and said, "Ok. Lickitung go!" The trainer pulled out a pokéball and said, "You're an idiot! Theif ball go!" The trainer was going to steal Lickitung! Lickitung wasn't afraid, and neither was Lewis. The ball just stopped in mid-air a foot from Lickitung! The trainer was dumbfounded, until he saw Lewis's eyes. They were glowing bright blue. The ball started to implode! The ball imploded in about 10 seconds. The trainer began to just run away. Lewis walked over to the weak Charmander, and gave him his only potion. The Charmander licked Lewis for saving him, but Charmander was still weak and his tail flame was low. Lewis picked up Charmander and went over to the gym and pounded on the door shouting, "Open up! This is an emergency!" A girl opened the door and said, "Ugh. Do you know what time it is?" "This Charmander is in bad shape, and the Pokémon Center's too far away from here!" Lewis shouts. The girl hurried him inside.
