From: Shimarisu <rachel.r@scotland.com> Subject: [PW!] A journey into Pewter Date: Saturday, November 27, 1999 8:54 AM __________________________ "27th November (or thereabouts) Today, I finished my travels across the sea. It was a long and arduous journey, but eventually I managed to haul myself out of the water bordering the town of Pallett. God, my arms hurt. My name is Tracey, at least I think it might be. I don't really know much else. Only that I'm a total idiot, and nobody likes me because I'm the most incredibly BORING, one dimensional character that ever walked the face of the planet. I pretend to be a really good Pokemon researcher, when all I seem to do is draw crappy pictures that I don't bother to colour in. And I get really fascinated by mundane things such as the migration of Magicarp. I'm 15, I still wear short pants, and I talk in a really squeaky over enthusiatic voice. And wow, what a good week it's been. People will write about my exploits for eons to come. Yesterday, I got thrown out of Prof. Oak's research lab, because I made a pass at him. That will really screw him up. Of course, it will completely destroy all regard that anyone had left for me, and the repercussions of my actions will be as tears in the fabric of social structure, rending apart the very threads woven by authority that until this moment have held true. The world will know me now! Bow before your one and only master! Bwahahahahahahahaaaaaa!" _________________________ The pen dropped to the floor, as mirthful convulsions shook the trainer's body. At least, to all outward appearances, here was a (somewhat unhinged) young man, filling in his diary entry for the day. But this wasn't the case at all, or rather it wasn't in actuality - though in Nisemon's mind it could have been entirely the situation. It doesn't do a Pokemon good to have to swim for what could have been hundreds of miles, especially when it doesn't occur to them to turn into a water elemental in order to make the journey a little more easy... "Dammit!" raged the Ditto. "Why didn't I turn into a water Pokemon? Everyone knows that Meowth really hate water! I hate water! It makes my flesh crawl!" Which was a stupid thing to say really, as if flesh could crawl - which indeed it can't - Nisemon wouldn't have had flesh to have been caused to crawl in the first place. Or something like that. The sun blazed in the mid-evening sky, causing people to curse at the irony of such a thing, seeing as it was downright freezing. And if you lived in Pewter - as most of the people who were now walking the streets of Pewter did, there was little comfort in returning to the comfort of your home. If indeed you'd make your home from stones hewn from the many giant boulders that lay about in the rocky environs of the town. Some of the residents had done this, being a little bit too rock-obsessed to possibly count as sane, though most of them admittedly hadn't. After all, it was a silly idea. Perhaps not one actually worth writing about. "Pewter?" pondered Nisemon, taking on the blithely ignorant composure of a certain Team Rocket member, and inadvertantly turning into him as a result of this. "Pewter?" repeated James.
