"Anyway," began Smasher, deciding that Ema in no way resembled his
rival, Alan "Lasher" Sandstone, "I only have the Tornadobadge I won at
the beginning of this thread." Smasher held up his hand, displaying the
fingerless glove with a single badge on it.The two of them stood around
awkwardly for a moment as I tried to decide what to have them do next.
"Well, I can't think of anything," said Ema.
"Whatever," added Smasher. "Let's just get going. Shuriken?"
Upon hearing its name, the Staryu hopped up and ran over to Smasher and
Ema. All ready knowing that they would be Teleporting back to Viridian
City since the previous post, Shuriken had spent the past few moments to
figure out how to best Teleport two trainers at one time. It looked to
the two of them up and down a moment, then brought its two arm-located
arms together. A moment passed.
"I think he's telling us to hold hands," suggested Smasher. Shuriken
"nodded."
"Oh," said Ema. She put her hand into Smasher's gloved hand. Shuriken
scampered up Smasher's back and down his arm to where the two held
hands. It wrapped itself tighly around their hands.
"This isn't gonna..." Ema felt a sudden tingling sensation as a bright,
white light washed over her. "...hurt, is it?" As soon as she finished
the sentence, she found that she was already standing front of the
Viridian City Pokemon Center still holding Smasher's hand. "Oh.
Nevermind."
Later that afternoon, Smasher, Ema and Shuriken found themselves treking
through Viridian Forest. They walked along, stalking as quietly as
possible as Cliff Diver the Clefairy snoozed away as he rested on
Smasher's back pack.
"Why are we stalking quietly through Viridian Forest again?" asked Ema.
"I'm gonna need a Pikachu if I want to defeat Misty," explained Smasher.
"One of the few places they can be found is Viridian Forest."
"I thought you were going up against Brock next," said Ema, who was a
bit confused.
"I am," said Smasher. "But this is the last stop for Pokemon with an
advantage over water before Cerulean City."
"Oh," said Ema.
Smasher was about to add something when a now awake Cliff Diver slapped
a paw over his mouth. Once again quiet, they could all hear the sound
of rustling in a nearby bush.
Nearby, they saw a shaking bush. Every once in a while, a Pikachu would
poke a head out of the bush before diving back in to attack something.
"Pika!" called a Pikachu.
"Chu-pi!" retalliated another Pika-voice.
"I think a couple of Pikachu are fighting in that bush," said Ema.
"Well, duh," said Smasher. "That should make them all the easier to
catch." He pulled a Pokeball from his belt and tossed it into the bush.
The rustling stopped and was replaced by the sound of a Pokemon
attempting to escape from a Pokeball. It failed.
"All-right!" announced Smasher. "I caught a Pikachu! WHOO-HOO!"
Smasher and Shuriken did a back flip. Cliff merely gave a "V for
victory" sign. "Let's take a look at it!" Smasher opened the Pokeball
and the creature appeared in a flash of light.
"Holy..!" exclaimed Ema.
"What the fog!?" added Smasher.
"Clefairy!" screamed Cliff.
Shuriken flailed around with water drops and exclamation points flying
about it.
On the grass stood a Pikachu and another Pikachu. The two shared one
waist, a tail, and a pair of hind legs. The Pikachus were siamese
twins.
"Looks like you caught yourself a Pika-Two!" joked Ema. Smasher and
Shuriken collasped.
"Pika-pika!" one twin scolded the other.
"Pika-pika, pikachu!" the other yelled back. The two of them started
fighting again.
"This has really been my day for freaks," Smasher said under his breath.
To be continued...
